This was one of our favorite tours we’ve ever gone on, and our daughter gave it a 4 👍rating! Our guide Abi was great & shared about the area pointing out different types of fruit during the ~1.5 travel from Huatulco. The waterfalls were beautiful & Abi made sure to get the most amazing photos at each stop for us. She was also thoughtful & made sure our daughter was safe as we moved through the waterfalls. The lunch at the end was delicious! Can’t recommend this experience enough, don’t miss out!
Our guide Fernando greeted us with a nice vehicle and informed us we had 4 more people in our group. Once we picked everyone up we were on the road. Our journey was safe and smooth, despite the interesting roads. We stopped off at the local medicinal shop and learned all about the healing properties with the lovely locals. Then it was on to the falls. Our group was elderly and Fernando was very conscious of our mobility needs. Throughout the trip he ensured the safety of all the travellers. The falls were amazing, our meal was traditional and satisfying. His knowledge of the people and the area was very educational. I would recommend this trip to everyone.
Awesome experience! Our guide took us in a smaller vehicle that fit 6 and provided us with lots of information about the area, people, plants and animals. I went alone so was a bit nervous as i dont often do these alone, but felt safe and had so much fun with my group. I didnt bring enough money though, so I would suggest bringing about 1000 pesos to be safe. It was 200 for the meal, 10 for the community donation and then money for drinks and gifts from the coffee place. Its also good to have some for tips for the guy at the waterfall who will watch your stuff, the meal, and driver. It is a good idea to bring water shoes or sandals with ankle straps and grip as the rocks can be slippery, a dry bag for your phone, a change of clothes and a towel you can leave in the car unless you get cold easily. Theres lots of pools on the walk up and back, a swing and rope swings so check as you walk. I recommend the longer/scenic walk back for those things. Toilet paper and hand sanitier would be helpful too as the bathrooms seemed low on TP when we went. I also appreciated being able to leave my things safe in the car while we shopped and swam. Definitely worth every penny and the 1.5 hour drive there and back. The road is mostly concrete except a short portion at the end which can be quite bumpy. There was some other groups there when we went but I wouldn't say it seemed super busy.
It is fabulous a must do! It was so serene being in touch with nature. Our guide David was super he made sure we were safe the whole time.
The waterfalls were beautiful we did a lot of fun activities there and we ate some delicious mole after all that fun ! Our tour guide was Jacobo, he was amazing and so sweet, he told us he’s been with the tour industry for years, I loved how he explained everything you can just tell he has a lot of passion and love for his town. Before heading to the waterfalls we stopped in this shop for a tour of mezcal tasting and medicinal remedies it was so interesting! The shop owners are very sweet they helped us out , I highly recommend this tour.
Great tour! Victor made sure everything was set for our day at the waterfalls and oir guide Jacobo went beyond our expectations for us to have a great experience. I recommend going outside of the peak season to enjoy the waterfalls without the crowds, but it was great.
Jacobo was our guide. He was amazing!! This was our first trip to Huatulco and I’m so glad I booked with this company. Our 2 teenage boys loved the tour. Jacobo shared so many wonderful stories and he clearly loved sharing the adventure. The waterfalls are a must see! We spent as much time as we wanted, swimming and enjoying the jungle. Thank you for a wonderful day! He even brought our bag back to the hotel when we forgot them. Jacobo was wonderful!!
This was a pretty waterfall that has many waterfalls that you play in and then walk on to the next. Bring water shoes and water. Money is also a must for a cold bevvy and snack afterwards. The restaurant on the way back is exceptional.
I feel conflicted about writing this review. The falls were beautiful. However we stopped to take photos with what looked like a captive Loris. We were told it was a local animal- but these are native to Asia. It was upsetting to see this creature living in captivity and the tour stopped so we could take photos - for $. It kind of ruined the trip to be honest. The tour would be much improved by telling us what to expect - we didn’t know what we were expected to pay for and what the itinerary was.
