Cette excursion guidée d'une journée en petit groupe au départ de Beyrouth couvre trois destinations qui, ensemble, couvrent 5 000 ans d'histoire phénicienne, croisée, romaine et sacrée - avec un Guide qui donne tout son sens à chaque étape et un déjeuner entièrement inclus. Sidon : un château de mer croisé du XIIIe siècle construit sur une île au large de la côte, un souk médiéval qui fonctionne toujours, le seul musée du savon à l'huile d'olive au monde, et un caravansérail de la route de la soie. Tyr : site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO où le complexe archéologique d'Al-Bass — arc de triomphe, rue à colonnades, hippodrome romain pouvant accueillir 20 000 personnes — est l'un des paysages urbains romains les plus complets de la Méditerranée. Maghdouché : un sanctuaire perché où la Vierge Marie est censée avoir attendu pendant que Jésus prêchait à Sidon — vénéré par les chrétiens et les musulmans pendant deux millénaires. 8:30 AM — Transfert à l'hôtel Votre Guide rencontre le groupe à votre hôtel de Beyrouth et se dirige vers le sud le long de l'autoroute côtière méditerranéenne. Sidon est à 45 minutes.
Château de la mer de Sidon — forteresse croisée sur une île méditerranéenne Une forteresse croisée du XIIIe siècle sur une petite île juste au large de la côte, reliée au rivage par une chaussée en pierre avec mer ouverte des deux côtés. Les commerçants phéniciens utilisaient ce port 3000 ans avant la construction des Croisés. Votre Guide couvre toute l'histoire en couches — port phénicien à la forteresse croisée en passant par la conquête mamelouk — des remparts du château.
Sidon Old Souks — la vraie chose Des ruelles voûtées en pierre où marchands d'épices, orfèvres et ateliers d'artisans n'ont cessé de commercer depuis des siècles. Non rénové pour le tourisme — fonctionne réellement, en fait inchangé. Votre Guide souligne ce qui rend le marché de Sidon différent de tous les autres souks du Liban.
Musée du Savon — le seul du genre sur terre. Sidon produit du savon à l’huile d’olive depuis plus de mille ans – et ce musée, le seul consacré à l’artisanat partout dans le monde, raconte toute l’histoire. Logé dans un khan restauré dans la vieille ville. Un arrêt vraiment surprenant et instructif que la plupart des voyageurs ne savaient pas qu'ils voulaient avant d'être à l'intérieur.
Khan el Franj — où la route de la soie rejoignait la Méditerranée Un caravansérail du XVIIe siècle construit par l'émir Fakhreddine II pour les marchands européens commerçant le long de la route de la soie — cours à arcades, galeries voûtées, façades en pierre sculptée. Un des plus beaux bâtiments ottomans du Liban et une image finale appropriée de Sidon avant de se diriger vers le sud.
Complexe archéologique Al-Bass — Pneu romain à grande échelle Entrez par un arc de triomphe toujours debout après deux mille ans. Parcourez une rue à colonnades flanquée d'anciens sarcophages de la nécropole romaine. Rejoignez l'hippodrome de Tyr — l'un des plus grands du monde romain, construit pour 20 000 spectateurs sur une piste de 480 mètres, portes de départ et postes de virage toujours en place. Votre Guide replace chaque structure dans son contexte romain et phénicien — c'est le genre de site où avoir le bon Guide est la différence entre une bonne visite et une visite inoubliable.
Déjeuner à Tyr — inclus Mezze libanais frais et fruits de mer dans un restaurant Tyr local — Méditerranée juste là, ville antique en toile de fond. Entièrement inclus.
Basilique Notre-Dame de Mantara — Mantara signifie "celui qui attend" La tradition chrétienne veut que la Vierge Marie ait attendu dans une grotte ici pendant que Jésus prêchait à Sidon en contrebas. Le nom arabe — Mantara, « celui qui attend » — est attaché à ce lieu depuis deux millénaires. Vénéré par les chrétiens comme par les musulmans. La Basilique se dresse au-dessus de l'ancienne grotte, vue panoramique sur la côte sud du Liban en contrebas. Un calme, inattendu proche d'une journée qui a commencé dans un château de mer croisé et a couvert 5 000 ans d'histoire en cours de route.
Retour à Beyrouth — env. 17 h 30–18 h 30 Dépose à votre hôtel de Beyrouth. Le Sud Liban fait correctement — phénicien, croisé, romain et sacré, le tout en une journée.

This trip I found personally very interesting, since it includes a part of South Lebanon. Our tour guide, Albert, was helpful and even adjusted the trip to my needs, allowing me to visit a mosque. Highly recommended. For a Russian-speaking audience. I can recommend this tour and especially guide Albert. The tour offers an opportunity to see southern Lebanon. Albert can also tailor the tour to individual requests. The girls who were travelling with me, he gave me time to walk by the sea, and at the same time he took me to the mosque, as I asked. Visited Sidon and Tyre today! And Albert was an amazing tour guide as ever! Making us laugh the entire journey! Definitely request this man for a fun trip! So much history explored with him! We visited the hippodrome the seaside and put our feet in the Mediterranean, walked the roads kings and rulers of the ancient past walked!

I took a trip to Sidon and Tyre with the guide Alain and driver Mustafa. They were both very nice, friendly and respectful. Alain told us a lot of interesting facts about the history of Lebanon. He also took us, upon my request, to Dar Debbané in Sidon, which was a beautiful addition to our program.
Another excellent tour with Hassane. With only two of us in tow the day was engaging and indulgent particularly Sidon. Tyre on the sea was picturesque.

A wonderful one to one tour of coastal southern Lebanon. My driver and guide, Albert, was exceptionally interesting and great company. They were 8 of the best hours I spent in Lebanon. The tour included a visit to the Crusader Castle and the souk in Sidon, the wonderful Roman remains in Tyre, and the beautiful church in Maghdouche. All washed down with one of the best meals I had while in Lebanon. The tour is excellent value for money compared to other similar offers, since it includes the cost of entry and lunch. I really would recommend it.
Driver and tourguide picked me up at my hotel in the morning and provided fresh water for the journey. Our tourguide Paula told interesting information about the sights we were visiting and was always down for some chatting about different aspects of Lebanon and life in general. Sidon and Tyre met us with beautiful views and its exciting history. We had lunch in a very good seafood restaurant. What I enjoyed the most was seeing that much of Lebanon in such a short time. A great experience!

Hassam is a great driver and tour guide with a huge knowledge of Lebanon and Middle East culture and History he speak semana languages , very kind, friendly, love his job. The tour was amazing and a great introduction on my first day in Lebanon. My driver/guide Hassane was knowledgeable and interesting. He also arranged for an archeologist to meet us at the sites in Tyre, who was fantastic and provided great professional and personal insight to the sites. The tour was so good, I booked another with Hassane to Baalbek the following day. Highly recommend!
Fadi (not sure if spelled correctly) was very knowledgeable of Lebanon's history. He was accommodating, relaxed& easy going. It was pouring rain and ocean waves were high, so we couldn't visit inside the crusaders castle (Sidon). Overall the highlight of this tour was the old souk (soap museum, church, old hotel, alleys) and Tyre (Roman ruins)
