We booked this tour for Hagia Sophia on Viator and were given a guide by the name of Tanju. We HIGHLY recommend this man. If you appreciate history, learning, and nice people this tour is for you. He called us prior to our scheduled tour time and said he had no one booked for the noon appointment and if we wanted to bump our time from 11 to noon, we could have him all to ourselves. So, we did that and we were able to ask lots of questions and have lots of conversations about history making the tour a lot more intimate. After our tour was over, he spent at least an hour of his own time helping us with recommendations for local handmade rugs. He even gave us recommendations about local coffee, sites, baklava, Turkish bath, and helped us with trains. We are so grateful for Tanju and his time. BOOK THIS TOUR!

Our Guide Tanju was well in time and we got goung right away. He had very good extra material on the phone to support hes very knowledgeable guiding. Tanju also ha good english pronounciation and navigated through the tourist crowds very well. Thankyou!

This was a great tour, the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got lucky and the other individuals in our tour did not make it so it became a private tour. One of the reasons we chose this tour was for the limit on the number of individuals, as more people often means you can't hear the guide/see everything well. I highly recommend the early tour at 8:00 as the site was virtually empty and it could be seen and appreciated with ease.

Tanju was the most fantastic and informative … And friendly guide through the stunning Hagia Sophia! His presentation style was engaging and informative and he was really easy going about time for pics and questions. The 1 hour tour and additional time to remain behind and explore the space is a great format. Highly recommend this tour!
