Terrible experience, buses dirty, drivers unfriendly, bus stops difficult to navigate, we were told waiting times would be every 30 minutes.....buses just didn't turn up at specified locations. Absolute waste of money and time!
We’ve used these City Sightseeing Red buses in various countries and cities we’ve visited over the years and always found them useful and informative but this one was terrible. The audio guide was next to useless. Largely playing music most of the route. On the odd occasion it actually had some narrative guide information to share it was usually well out of sync/time with where we were and was talking about something we’d passed 5 mins earlier. What a waste of money!
Good attention to what I was asking! Good job, Carlos! 👍👍
Timings for different colour route don't tie up We ended up waiting for 40 mins twice . Buses parked up ut not moving Many of tje headphones ports don't work so had to move seats many times.
The good reviews for this attraction appear to be for a walking tour. This review is for the hop on, hop off bus which proved to be the worst city tour I've ever been on. Some friends and I took our seats and waited to hear interesting facts about Lisbon as the bus pulled away. Twenty minutes later all we were told of Lisbon was where we could get the best souvenirs to take home and where we might like to stop and feel the vibe. We passed some interesting buildings and landmarks and learned very little of their history, barely and facts or background information, just endless drivel. It was a complete joke. The annoying thing was with minimal work it could be so much better. We waited a fair while for a bus to pick us up after our first stop. The next part of the tour would have been better had it not been for the annoying background music that made it impossible to hear what was being said. Don't waste your money folks.
I had a very disappointing experience on the Belém route sightseeing bus in Lisbon. I boarded the bus at Belém and was still walking up the stairs to the upper deck when the driver suddenly started driving before I had a chance to sit down or even reach the top. While I was on the stairs, the bus braked and I fell. As a result, I bruised my left knee and have been experiencing pain in my right shoulder. Passenger safety should be a priority, and drivers should make sure passengers are safely seated or at least have reached a secure position before moving the bus. This incident could have been much more serious.
We had limited time in Lisbon as we were on a cruise. Having previously found these city tours a good way to see a capital in a short time, we booked tickets in advance. It was a waste of money. The pre-recorded commentary was extremely light on content, with music playing for long periods. The audio socket was not working on one bus. Stops were not clearly announced in advance.
Yesterday I boarded the bus expecting a professional and comfortable sightseeing experience, but the conditions on board were unacceptable because the vehicle has no functioning air conditioning. The temperature inside the bus is very high and unbearable, making it a health hazard to remain on board. On multiple seats, the audio guide didn’t work at all. Due to these issues and the lack of basic comfort, it was impossible for me to use this service for the remaining 48 hours. I had to get off the bus immediately for my own well-being.
