Description
Après la visite du musée, les clients feront une rapide visite de la ville de Livingstone avec un commentaire tout en conduisant lentement pour expliquer la visite historique de Livingstone. Les arrêts dans les principaux bâtiments historiques et les délégués sont libres de prendre des photos. La ville de Livingstone a été déplacée d'Old Drift en 1905 lorsqu'il a été décidé qu'un emplacement sur Constitution Hill serait plus sain qu'un emplacement sur la rivière. La ville a été soigneusement planifiée avec de larges rues, des avenues de beaux arbres, des bâtiments avec de hauts plafonds et des vérandas moustiquaires. Les clients sont amenés à visiter le célèbre marché de Curio, un marché coloré animé où les Zambiens locaux viennent faire leurs achats. Le marché vend tout, du chitenge lumineux (tissu local), des sacs, des objets fabriqués à partir de différents types d'arbres, des bracelets en cuivre, des horloges murales, des cartes africaines utilisant les 5 grands animaux, etc. Ce marché est situé dans un petit parc au centre de la ville. . Après la visite, les clients sont ramenés à l'hôtel.

With limited time in Zambia (mainly to view Victoria Falls) we wanted to get a feel for the country and Livingstone, a city rich in history. Our tour guides Mwanga Lwa & Silvester delivered this and more. We had a comprehensive tour of the Livingstone Museum before going on a very extensive drive through the city: the colonial building, churches, the Jewish cemetery, and the rich and poor areas. We loved the slow drive through the amazing market areas where a foot tour may have made us feel a little uneasy. The vehicle was very comfortable and our guides bent over backwards to ensure that the tour was tailored to our interests. They stopped the vehicle whenever we wanted photos or to have a closer look at an attraction. Mwanga Lwa was very articulate and gave us an great overview of Zambia's people, cultures, history and present issues. A tour that truly exceeded our expectations! Many thanks guys...

I enjoyed so much the drive as the guide me drove me into different parts of livingstone seeing how rich and locals live in this city. Unbelievable diversity between the standards of living in this city.The guide was excellent and a well knowledgeable of his city.At the museum the guidness was poor as the museum guide only directed me from one part to another without any explanation.

Excellent experience. Learnt a lot about the history of Zambia through the museum tour. Subsequent tour of the city to various parts of the town including the markets was an eye opening and cultural experience. We learnt a lot from our guide, Mwangelua who was very knowledgeable and hospitable.
