Notre guide parlant anglais / français viendra vous chercher à Kigali, où vous séjournerez vers 10h du matin, après le petit-déjeuner, en véhicule privé. Un bref briefing se poursuivra avec la visite de la ville de Kigali et se terminera vers 15h. Kigali est la capitale du Rwanda et a été nommée en 1907 par le Dr Richard Kandt, le premier gouverneur résident du Rwanda dans les colonies. La ville est construite sur plusieurs collines et vallées. Les compromis de Kigali sur 3 districts principaux et ceux-ci incluent Nyarugenge, Kicukiro et Gasabo. Notre excursion dans la ville de Kigali explore les principaux sites historiques et culturels du Rwanda. Le voyage commence après le petit déjeuner.

Mémorial Le mémorial du génocide de Kigali comprend trois expositions permanentes, dont la plus grande est consacrée au génocide de 1994 contre les Tutsi. Il existe également un mémorial pour enfants et une exposition sur l’histoire de la violence génocidaire dans le monde. Les archives du Centre d'éducation, des jardins et du génocide du Rwanda font partie d'un hommage significatif à ceux qui ont péri et constituent un puissant outil pédagogique pour les visiteurs.
L'Afrique, le Rwanda, la capitale de Kigali, le plus grand marché fermier situé, est devenue une attraction touristique, où les touristes étrangers peuvent en apprendre davantage sur l'état de vie le plus réel des Africains. Le marché animé regorge de fruits, de popularité, de feux d'artifice, de vêtements de différents types, faits à la main (souvenirs), etc... c'est l'image la plus simple de la vie des Africains, A l'entrée du marché, il y a des porteurs jaunes uniformément vêtus, leurs vêtements imprimés avec des numéros, spécialement pour que les invités portent des sacs, portent, par la direction du marché, ne portent pas d'uniformes seront condamnés à une amende.
Le mont Kigali ou Mont Kigali en français, est une colline de la ville de Kigali, au Rwanda, d'où le nom de la ville. Le mont Kigali est situé directement à l'ouest du centre-ville dans le district de Nyarugenge. La majorité du district de Nyarugenge est située sur les pentes du Mont Kigali. Les versants ouest du mont Kigali se terminent dans la vallée de la rivière Nyabarongo. À une hauteur de 1853 mètres (6079 pieds), avec le plus haut Mont Jali à 2078 mètres (6818 pieds) directement au nord, il domine les autres collines de la ville qui s'élèvent entre 1300 et 1600 m. En conséquence, le mont Kigali offre une vue imprenable sur toute la ville de Kigali à l'est et au nord, la province du sud à l'ouest et au sud et la province de l'est à l'est et au sud.

Today was one of the most moving days for me. I was not sure what to expect in coming to Rwanda, and I knew I wanted to come to support a friend who survived the genocide 30Ys ago: I had a day alone to explore Kigali b4 mtg him in his village tomorrow. My day with Justin was so far beyond. We started with the history of Rwanda pre and into colonial times & then moved to the genocide memorial. The level of tragedy is unconscionable but what impacted me most is seeing how the country has healed and created a very different country today. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Justin was the best - humble, gentle, knowledgeable & very open. Learning his own story along side seeing the impact and aftermath of that kind of violence and how the country came together is a model for all of in these times.

I had very few days in Kigali and to be able to see as much as possible I contacted Silverbird Tours. They replied fast in e-mail and gave me all the information I needed before going. On the day of the tour company came exactly on time to my hotel. The driver Justin was very nice to travel with and he gave me the chance to see and do exactly what I wanted to.
