The driver Chelsea shared many interesting facts about Fairbanks and the attractions. The highlight was North Pole with the Santa Claus House and the pipeline.
The museums included on this tour are outstanding. We would go back to either. Our guide, Sasha, was superb—knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind. The pipeline was made more interesting by him. The North Pole and Santa were kitschy but clean and well stocked. Would recommend this as a good way to see Fairbanks and gain some knowledge about history, peoples, geography, geology, and the rich resources here.
Muriel provided a wealth of information about Fairbanks and North Pole. It was educational and fun.
Trip only went to three destinations. After about 20 min you were done with the museum. While we liked our tour guide, we didn’t think it was with the 5 hour lazy tour ( yes it was about 5 hours, not 6 as it was displayed). But what did bother us was why we were dropped off at Santa’s village in the town of North Pole for an hour, one can only see so much of Christmas decoration. Seems to us that “ Santa’s Village” probably paid for our tours to all come there. It was t worth it to charge us to spend over an hour at a commercial retail business that we could have easily driven there ourselves
Hi Ronald, We typically spend about an hour at each museum; a 20-minute visit is simply not realistic. We also spend approximately 45 minutes to an hour at Santa Claus House. While we are not compensated for visits there, it is a popular destination that many guests enjoy. Visitors often like to see the reindeer, meet Santa Claus, browse the shops, and take in the atmosphere. While it is certainly possible to drive to these locations on your own, this is a guided tour. Throughout the tour, we provide historical information, local stories, and guidance on what to see and do at each stop, which is an important part of the experience. Regarding the city tour, we understand that not everyone is interested in Christmas-themed attractions. However, Santa Claus House is an established part of the itinerary, and we cannot shorten the visit for the entire group based on individual preferences. Guests who are less interested are welcome to explore the reindeer area, relax, or enjoy a snack while others take in the attraction. We hope you enjoyed your time in Fairbanks and appreciate your feedback. Best regards, Josh
Dan was an excellent guide! He had the knowledge and experience to bring the Fairbanks history and culture come alive.
It was a nice visit. My family enjoyed it, she was funny.
Great tour of Fairbanks! Lots of information given!
We very much enjoyed seeing the sites, from Alaska Pipeline to the museums to North Pole and Santa Clause House. Daniel did a great job. His knowledge and expertise was so valuable.
Paul was very excited to share his love for alaska. Lots of fun facts along the way. We had the tour to ourselves so we got to make a few bonus stops too!
We had an amazing city tour with Ash. His storytelling was incredible—every time he described something, it felt like we were listening to an audiobook come to life. He turned our museum visits into a genuinely fun experience and made sure we didn’t miss the most interesting highlights. We truly had a wonderful time with him.
