Dans cette visite d’une demi-journée d’Amritsar, nous commençons notre visite en visitant le Temple d’Or le matin. Vous serez expliqué avec toute l'histoire de cet endroit et un accès en coulisse à la plus grande cuisine du monde où préparer le repas pour 100 000 personnes par jour.
Nous allons parcourir les différentes parties du temple d'or.
Nous expliquerons la signification de l'édifice sacré Akal Takth-Sahib, le lieu de repos du livre saint.
En vous promenant dans le complexe du temple, vous apprendrez également davantage sur l’arbre vénéré.
Promenez-vous dans le bâtiment historique de 9 étages en forme d'octogone.
Visitez le site sombre du tristement célèbre massacre d'Indiens sous l'autorité britannique dans les jardins Jallianwala Bagh et le mémorial commémorant le soulèvement politique de 1919. Écoutez l'histoire tragique de vies perdues et visitez le mémorial préservant la partie du mur avec des marques de pellet avec le puits dans lequel des centaines ont désespérément sauté pour éviter les balles.
La visite de ce musée vous ramènera à l’époque de 1947, lorsque l’Inde obtint l’indépendance et se divisa en deux pays. Le plus grand génocide du monde a eu lieu. Rishi, our guide, really was the best guide ever. He was absolutely charming, exceedingly knowledgable and brought the whole history of Amritsar, the Golden Temple and the Partition to life. We particularly enjoyed the private tour of the kitchens at the Golden Temple and learning how it is run entirely by volunteers feeding a minimum of 20,000 people a day. Fantastic tour!

WOW! What an amazing day Our guide Aman took us to the Golden Temple at sunrise and it was breathtaking. As soon as the sun started to rise the Golden Temple began to light up in full esplendor. It was such a view to my sleepy eyes. Plus the Temple is surrounded by water so the reflection makes it look even more larger than life. This place is full of charm and overall I felt so peaceful visiting this temple. After the visit we headed for breakfast. One must try the Amritsari parathas (yum!) with some hot tea.
