Description

The Villa Vescovi was a real gem. After a scenic ride through the hills, we were escorted to what had once been a private residence but now is under state control government conservatorship. The frescoes, which date back centuries, beautifully illustrate the close interrelationship of architecture and the natural landscape surrounding the estate. Although the day was rainy, the misty atmosphere enhanced the experience of gazing through the logia arches out into the partially obstructed hills and nearby fields and gardens. The Valsansibio Gardens were a perfect place for a serene and cleansing walk in the country. The meticulously maintained grounds offered serene vistas of symmetrical alleys, water features, and even some surprises like (spoiler alert!) a fabulous labyrinth and an island of bunnies! We were so happy to have Nico as our guide for the second day in a row! He really took time to show us these special sites and explain in as much detail as we wanted, their history and back stories.
Thank you so much, Fredrick, for this wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that, despite the bad weather, you were able to appreciate the beauty of the places you visited in the company of our tour leader, Nico. We’re sure we’ll have you back with us in the future and wish you all the best.
Two very different, but both absolutely stunning villas slightly off the common path. Nico, our knowledgeable and passionate about this region guide, gave us very interesting insights as well as time and space for reflection in these beautiful places. Sunny autemn weather made the whole trip perfect. We also appreciated his advice on place for lunch after the tour in Padova very much. Easy communications, logistics and perfect timing. Highly recommend for slow mindful traveling
We're thrilled to hear that you've truly appreciated our expertise and local knowledge. We make emotions one of the cornerstones of our work, building it every day. Thank you for your kind words, and we hope to have you with us again in the future.
A beautiful villa The gardens kept really well, a place to spend 2 hours of carefree time, I recommend you do the maze, we had a lot of fun.
Grazie!
Beautiful days spent with Lo Vivo. The Villas are a wonder and have been told very well! The purification path and the labyrinth of Valsanzibio were my favorites. We stay tuned with Lo Vivo to participate in new experiences
Grazie mille.
We participated in several experiences offered by Lo Vivo to discover the best of Padua and the Euganean hills. Proud to have relied on this agency because we have been provided with so much information and so much quality time. The villas are wonderful and the management of the days was very functional. We'll be back!
We took part in an organized tour that took us to discover two jewels of the Euganean Hills: Villa dei Vescovi and the Garden of Valsanzibio. The day was perfect: Nicola was prepared and passionate, able to tell historical anecdotes and curiosities that made each stage even more interesting. Impeccable organization: convenient transportation, well-managed times and entrances included. An experience that I recommend to anyone who loves art, history and nature.
The tour guide was exceptional. We were able to relax in the beautiful countryside at the Cilla and the gardens. The trip was through the area of the Euganean Hills. While the famous cities in Italy are wonderful. The area around Padova is underrated. We have found the hidden treasures of Italy by exploring sites like these. Do take this tour to see the other parts of Italy!!
Thank you so much for the review and for taking the time to share it with us. We are truly happy that you and your husband were able to relax and enjoy the time we spend together. We really hope to see you again.
Beautiful landscape, Venetian Villa very well maintained by the FAI, very knowledgeable guide on the history of the Villa I would also recommend it for stay in the mini apartments of their management on the upper floors, very relaxing
Great your guide with knowledge of the area and history. Early and effective communication and quick responses when some last minute changes were needed.
Thank you so much, it was a pleasure!
The Villa dei Vescovi is certainly a "special" experience, a blast from the past, in the beauty of frescoes, furnishings and panoramic views of remarkable beauty. But the tour is expertly paired with the monumental Garden of Valsanzibio. This garden, thanks to the information, descriptions of the places and details of what flowed before our eyes by the Guide, made us enjoy two hours of walking, in an intricate maze of fountains, statues and incredible views, without noticing the time that passed. Highly recommended.
Gentilissimo!
