Merve is a fantastic guide! Knowledgeable, friendly, and wonderfully passionate about the city and history of Istanbul. We had such a memorable day, learned so much - it was an experience we won't forget.
Great tour. So glad we booked the tour because we could have gone to these places on our own but the amount of information we got from our guide Merve was invaluable. She was extremely knowledgeable on the sites we visited and its history. Hearing about the history behind the sites made it much more interesting and even kept our 8 and 11 year old were engaged throughout the day. Merve made sure to take consideration into how much the kids can handle and was very flexible with our schedule. She also had great recommendations outside of the tour for the remainder of our time in Istanbul. Highly recommend booking this tour with Merve.
Volkan was always on time, totally professional and made our experience like being shown all the sights by a very knowledgeable friend. I don't impress easy but he was the best guide I ever had. He was very adaptable to what we wanted to do. He could give you an encyclopedia of knowledge or the short version at any location. You could spend more time in what you were interested in and less or none in a place that was not something you cared to see. His knowledge of Istanbul is incredible. He moves you through the city with perfect synchronization, just missing the crowds and catching trains and buses right on time, it's like Google maps is in his head. Volkan was personable, smart and funny. I wish there was a Volkan in every city I visited. I highly recommend him.
How fortunate we were to have Ozan lead our small group tour. He was fantastic with amazing knowledge of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and surrounds. Our half day tour flew by - was a wonderfully personal experience filled with history and a local’s knowledge of beautiful Istanbul.
We had an outstanding experience with Merve! Traveling with a 4- and 7-year-old can be challenging, but she was incredibly patient, flexible, and engaging throughout the day. Rather than sticking to a rigid itinerary, Merve customized the tour based on our family's needs. When our girls had reached their limit at Topkapi Palace, she pivoted and later took us to the Basilica Cistern instead, which ended up being one of the highlights of our day. She was always checking in with us and adjusting the pace to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. What really set Merve apart was how she connected with our daughters. She asked them questions, kept them involved, and made them feel like they were part of the experience instead of just being along for the ride. That thoughtful approach made all the difference. Merve is knowledgeable, personable and adaptable. If you're visiting Istanbul—especially with children—we couldn't recommend her more highly. She made our day both educational and enjoyable, and we are so grateful for such a memorable experience.
Ozzy (Ozan) is the best. He knows the city/country inside out from history to best place to eat/shop and which museums to spend time at. The three-day tour covered all the major sites but also places that are slightly off the beaten path that is a must. Ozzy is very approachable, always on time, and cares about everyone’s comfort and needs as well as what exactly are you trying to get out of the experience. Pick the tour that comes with private transport as the city is huge. Whether you are visiting Istanbul for the first time or a repeat visitor, Ozzy is the perfect guide. He also offers other more advanced tours that are interest specific
Kemal was a wonderful guide. Everything was excellent, could.not fault a thing. Thank you!!
Due to heart failure and being unable to walk great distances the company suggested an alternative. We therefore had a private van with a lovely driver and a personal tour guide, Volkan. He tailor made a tour for us and we enjoyed every moment. The driver was superb and we felt safe at all times. And Volkan was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and considerate of my limitations. My niece, Jenny, and I would recommend his services highly. No question was left unanswered, and on our Bosphorous cruise he actually went out of his way to look for any dolphins. We had lunch where the local people eat (at our request) and it was very reasonably priced and tasty. And visiting the Süleymanie mosque was a highlight. A far better experience than the Blue Mosque, we felt. Thank you Volkan for making our first day in Istanbul so memorable.
We had a fantastic day! Our guide Merve was highly knowledgeable and her English was excellent. She provided far more information at each location than if we had done each location on our own Overall a great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our day! Merve was beyond our expectations and she made our day perfect!
Burak was wonderful! So easy to communicate with before our tour, and on the day of our tour he was waiting in our hotel lobby to hail a taxi to begin our tour. We were still jet-lagged and really appreciated how effortless it was to connect with him. We saw the sites that mattered to us most and decided not to tour one or two that were less important to us. Burak accommodated us perfectly, always letting us know that if we did not want extensive explanations we should just let him know. When we were tired we could rest and when we wanted to see more he was completely accommodating. If you want to tour in English, I would certainly ask for Burak. We toured the historical district and it was fabulous!
