A great experience overall. Marta was very nice and gave us great insight and a lot of information regarding the Valle de la Luna. Orlando, the driver, was also extremely helpful in many aspects of the tour. A fruitful experience on a unique location.
Excellent experience, wonderful landscapes, the guides Marta and Orlando are a 10 as guides. Empathetic, attentive to each of us, strong and clear narration, they clarified doubts, took our photos, in short, a very good duo! I am left with a pleasant experience from the expedition. The agency is 100/10. Highly recommended!
Today, June 25, 2026, along with my partner [we are from Santiago], we did the Valley of the Moon tour and had a great time. We were accompanied by the guide Marta and the driver Orlando. I congratulate both of them and highlight their attention and service. They are very friendly, explain all the information about the place very well. They gave us time to walk, take photos, etc. Congratulations. We recommend them without hesitation.
Excellent experience, very nice, especially the guide Marta and the driver Orlando, very friendly, highly recommended 💯.
I spent a truly pleasant afternoon thanks to Marta, who guided us through the Valley of the Moon with friendliness and great attention to the needs of every group member! The sunset with a view of the Cordillera was the cherry on top!
The Valley of the Moon tour with Whipala was great! The guide was engaging and funny. However, Viator said it was at 4pm, sent tickets that said 4 pm, but we just happened to go to the tour guide office the day before to ask about another tour and incidentally learned the tour was really at 2:30!!! They had the summer time listed for the winter tour!
What a disappointment! The visit to the Valley of the Moon consists of a 5-minute walk that provides access to a nice viewpoint over the Atacama Desert. The remaining time is taken up by countless pieces of information from the guide and only 2 other visited locations, which were of little interest. Due to an earthquake that occurred a few weeks prior, the agency informed us on the same day (when the free cancellation period had already passed) that the sunset, which we were initially supposed to see at the Ckari viewpoint, would be observed from another equivalent viewpoint. It is clear that the chosen location was not equivalent to the one announced, as we ultimately stopped just 3 minutes by car from San Pedro, on the side of the road, to observe the sunset over the Licancabur volcano, and not at all over the Valley of the Moon as announced.
I did the Valle de la Luna tour,, which was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a humorous delivery which made the trip fun. Tip: the sand can make gett No to,the top of the d7ne a trek. Try to walk on any hard bits you can find. It’s worth it when you get to the top.
We took the tour of the Valley of the Moon with this agency and Daniel as our guide, and we were very disappointed. First, the tour lasted only 3 hours instead of the 4 initially planned. Next, the time to enjoy the spots in the valley was really very short, even though we clearly had the time. Finally, the sunset did not take place at the location planned in the tour and was instead at a parking lot/empty lot that was not impressive. And we didn't even have time to enjoy it because as soon as the sun went behind the mountain, the guide asked us to get back in the van to return. It was 5:30 PM. A lack of professionalism, while the other tours always had snacks offered for the most part. In short, by far, this tour was the worst of those we did in San Pedro.
We took the tour with Daniel and unfortunately, we were very disappointed for the following reasons: - the tour lasted 3 hours instead of 4 hours as initially planned. - we did not have time to enjoy the spots in the Valley of the Moon even though we clearly had time for it. - the sunset took place over a sort of parking lot/vacant lot that was not initially where we were supposed to see it, and as soon as the sun went behind the mountain, we had to quickly get back in the van to return. - No snack or anything, while other tours (cheaper) often provide that. After all the tours we did in Atacama, this one is by far the worst.
