Super organized and executed tour. Exactly how you expect a professional company to work, pick up on time, schedule was very good planned, driver Juan was always one step ahead and moving us safely around (Gracias!!) and guide Alfredo was very knowledgeable about history and nature. Often explaining to us besides the historical monuments that we see also the flora and fauna around. Not the cheapest but you know what you get - can totally recommend:)

It is bilingual, so it takes twice as long as necessary. The last stop is unnecessary and the food from lunch spot is not notable but the view is great. Note, these ruins are not Tikal, Conan or Chichen Itza.

You are absolutely right that our archaeological sites are not like Tikal or Chichen Itza, and that is exactly what makes them so uniquely valuable! While those destinations feature monumental temples built for the elite, our UNESCO World Heritage site, Joya de Cerén, is famously known as the "Pompeii of the Americas." It is the only site in the Mayan world that preserves the everyday life of ordinary villagers. It offers a completely different, intimate historical perspective rather than massive pyramids. Regarding the language, our tours are clearly advertised as bilingual. We take great pride in delivering our history in both English and Spanish so that all our international guests feel included and can fully understand the experience. We are glad, however, that you were able to enjoy the spectacular views of the lake during your lunch break. Safe travels.

Incredible journey through Maya history in El Salvador. The tour is very well organized, and visiting Joya de Cerén is a unique experience to understand how people really lived during that time. The sites of San Andrés and Tazumal are impressive. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, which made every stop worthwhile. Highly recommended if you want to know the cultural heart of the country!
