Visite dirigée par le fondateur. Découvrez la maison du Maharani Gin et de la seule absinthe d'Irlande, Rebel City Distillery, la première distillerie de la ville de Cork en 50 ans. A seulement 15 minutes à pied du centre ville. Créée en 2020, Rebel City est une distillerie artisanale qui insuffle une nouvelle vie aux docks historiques de Cork. Située dans l'ancienne usine automobile Ford, un monument de Cork resté en sommeil depuis des décennies, la distillerie s'appuie sur les innovations du passé pour inspirer les créations du futur. Une fusion de deux cultures créatives. Maharani Gin, notre première version, célèbre les racines de notre fondateur, Cork, en Irlande et Kerala, en Inde, d'où sont originaires l'équipe mari et femme, Robert et Bhagya. Maharani signifie reine et est un hommage aux femmes fortes du monde entier et à la coopérative agricole biologique des femmes du Kerala, en Inde, d'où proviennent les plantes. Nous sommes également producteurs de la seule absinthe d'Irlande.

A brilliant experience at Rebel City Distillery. The tour was relaxed, informative and really enjoyable, and Bhagya was so friendly and knowledgeable. The spirits were excellent too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cork.

Great tour of the distillery by one of the founders! Our tour was led by Bhagya, wife and co-founder of the company. Bhagya in her own witty ways gave us good insight into the key components, sourcing, and distillery process of their wonderful Maharani Gin, Vodka, and Absinthe. She makes the ingredients of the flavors come alive throughout the tasting of their products. In addition she told us all about the challenges of starting a business while the entire world was forced to shut down. This is a tour you do not want to miss!

We visited for a tour on Friday, 29th May, 3 friends visiting Cork for the weekend. We had a fantastic time at Rebel City Distillery. The gin tasting experience was really personalised and made so much fun by the host, who was friendly, engaging, and full of energy throughout. It felt much more interactive and personal than a typical distillery tour, and you could really see the passion behind what they do. We had such a great laugh while also learning about the gin-making process and tasting some amazing spirits. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cork — a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. We visited Blackrock Castle restaurant the next day for dinner and Maharani gin was on the menu. We look forward to your gin being available on Tesco in the future.

What a fantastic experience. I was so impressed with Rebel City. Their enthusiasm and love for their craft was infectious. The backstory, the set up, remarkable. Bhagya was amazing, she made everyone welcome and her knowledge was superb. Now let’s get to the gin, vodka, and absinthe. Well quite frankly gorgeous. I am an absinthe convert. As we are from the UK with no stored luggage so we couldn’t take the vodka and absinthe with us. However 2 bottles of gin were purchased dutifully at duty free. I will be purchasing more in the future from Amazon. However please can a national start stocking the vodka and absinthe. A campaign is surely required. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Best part of our trip to Cork.
