Si vous effectuez un court voyage d'affaires en Ouganda et que vous ne pouvez pas consacrer beaucoup de temps à un safari, notre visite d'une journée à Jinja offre une évasion parfaite depuis Kampala pour explorer trois sites clés. Commençant après un petit-déjeuner matinal, vers 7h30 ou plus tard, depuis Kampala ou Entebbe pour éviter le trafic, notre voyage vous emmène à travers des plantations de thé et de sucre pittoresques, ainsi que des marchés animés en bord de route regorgeant de fruits et légumes colorés. En chemin, vous visiterez trois points d'intérêt : les cascades de Sezibwa, où vous pourrez vous émerveiller devant la beauté naturelle des eaux en cascade ; faites une courte randonnée dans la forêt de Mabira, pour découvrir la verdure luxuriante et la faune diversifiée ; et enfin, dirigez-vous vers Jinja pour observer la source du Nil. Ici, vous profiterez d'une excursion en bateau sur le Nil, offrant une vue imprenable et l'occasion de découvrir la magie du plus long fleuve d'Afrique en vous dirigeant vers sa source.

Les chutes de Sezibwa sont situées à 32 km le long de l'autoroute Kampala-Jinja. C'est l'un des trésors culturels cachés de l'Ouganda, dont une partie appartient au royaume de Buganda et une autre à l'Église anglicane d'Ouganda. ... Les chutes de Sezibwa mesurent 7 mètres de haut avec de beaux paysages propices à la détente et au plaisir alors que les oiseaux chantent dans les arbres.
La forêt de Mabira est une zone de forêt tropicale couvrant environ 300 kilomètres carrés en Ouganda, située dans le district de Buikwe, entre Lugazi et Jinja. Elle est protégée en tant que réserve forestière de Mabira depuis 1932. Elle abrite de nombreuses espèces menacées comme le primate Lophocebus ugandae. Vous pourrez faire une petite randonnée à mabira où vous pourrez voir des singes et aussi différentes espèces d'oiseaux.
Le Nil est le plus long fleuve d'Afrique avec le lac Victoria comme source. La rivière commence son voyage de 6 500 km vers la mer Méditerranée (Égypte) à côté de la ville de Jinja (Ouganda) et détient le barrage d'Owen Falls, source d'hydroélectricité pour l'Ouganda, avec un autre barrage en construction actuellement. Vous pourrez faire une promenade en bateau jusqu'au point principal appelé le "point zéro"

Visiting Jinja was absolutely a highlight of my trip to Uganda. The nile is so massive and to actually have a boat ride on the nile is something I can not easily forget. We saw many many birds and two big monitor lizards! It's really cool to see where to source of the Nile is. The boatman could tell us a lot about the history of the Nile, the birds and about Jinja city. Our accommodation was top notch, right at the Nile with an amazing sunset. Loved every bit of this trip!
