Description

I really enjoyed this trip. The area is beautiful and peaceful and offers walks and vistas that will satisfy any casual photographer, hiker, or nature lover. There are also a variety of water sports available, including sailing, pedal boating, kayaking, and paddle boarding. There are of course a few touristy bits, but you can easily avoid these. Our very capable guide Jim, who hails from bonny Scotland, is very affable and genuine and is a real pleasure to chat with. The trip is very good value for money, so I would definitely encourage anyone to make it a part of their itinerary.
Overall great experience. Jim was very knowledgeable and kind throughout the tour. She would definitely recommend!
Great fun! Jim kept in touch before the tour, was personable and very knowledgable. We had free time in Trakai, which was nice and we didn’t feel “scheduled”. Super easy and fun tour with Jim. Highly recommend!
The guide driver is very friendly and gives many explanations while driving. However, the excursion only includes transportation to Trakai and then to the Hill of Angels. The rest of the time is free to see the castle (admission costs 14€, not included) and its surroundings and then eat something. The castle is being renovated because it was destroyed on several occasions. It does not look old with the brick and modern tile they are putting on it. There is enough time to see it calmly on your own. There are many places to eat well.
Jim’s Trakai tour was the best tour I had in Vilnius. 1) The pickup time at 11:00 am was perfectly timed. I didn’t have to rush to go to the meeting point after breakfast. 2) Jim’s van was comfortable. AC working well with free bottled water. Ride was smooth. 3)Jim is kind and easy to talk to. He’s very helpful, knowledgeable, communication/accent was clear and understandable. I had a great time and learned so much from Jim. I highly recommend his tour.
Jim's tour was very informative and fun! We loved the friendly atmosphere and group interactions and would defenetly recommend this tour.
Fun, informative, interesting .. good knowledge and good humor, conversation and the time spent is well spaced
Informative and fun! Enjoyed learning about Lithuania and the freedom to explore Trakai. Lunch with Jim and fellow explorers was another highlight!
A very nice tour. Jim is a wonderful guide. He is very personable, with many great stories to keep everyone engaged and entertained. The tour was very well paced and never felt rushed. Highly recommend it!
This is a great small group tour with a great guy! Jim is a truely delightful young man, entertaining and knowledgeable. I did this tour the day before I flew out, otherwise I would have signed up for more of his tours! I have no hesitation in recommending Jim’s tours. You’ll have a fantastic day out!
