I went on the Fado Tour with my friends, and we had a wonderful evening in Porto. The guide was friendly and shared interesting stories about Portuguese culture and Fado music. The dinner was delicious, and the live Fado performance was beautiful and very emotional. It was a unique experience and a great way to discover an important part of Portugal's traditions. Thank you 'The Walking Parrot'. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Porto.
Amazing experience! The tour was very well organized and gave us a great introduction to Porto's culture and history. The dinner was delicious, and the live Fado performance was beautiful and emotional. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the evening even more enjoyable. What seemed like a simple tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Porto and wanting an authentic taste of Portuguese culture.
The Fado Tour was excellent!! The music was marvelous and the history of the Fado was super interesting. The guide was nice and dynamic, and teach us lots of things. I really recommend this tour!
Taking the Fado tour in Porto with our guide Daniele was one of the best experiences of our trip. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took us to authentic local spots we would have never discovered on our own. The Fado performance was very moving, and trying traditional food and wine in small local places made the whole evening feel relaxed and genuine.

At first my booking was canceled, but not until I had arrived at the meeting place and waited for the guide. I had spent 30 minutes walking to the meeting place. However, I was booked for the next night. I was expecting to be at dinner with Fadomusik. This was not the case. First I had to meet down by the river, far from where the Fadoshow was. Then go up steep streets to the concert, which lasted for an hour, where we got a glass of porto. After that again a walk up the hill to a restaurant where I got 3 small dishes(not a whole-right menu with prep, main dish and dessert) and a glass of wine. Really not an experience that lives up to the description of a walk followed by a Fadoshow and dinner. The concert was fine enough, but the dinner I could well be in addition serely since it was not at the same time as the music. However, the guide Flávio was very kind and thoughtful and accompanied me all the way. He also accompanied me to my apartment so I didn't have to walk through the city alone in the evening. 5 stars for him. I would not recommend this trip.

Harold Kohn came with us. Arrived 15 minutes before Harold came to pick us up, he shared his culture of the place, was always kind to us making sure we lacked nothing and with the will to satisfy us all the time. Here we are well above the norm .... To recommend absolutely and without hesitation
Our Fado show was exceptional. Although I only understood a few words, I was able to truly feel all the emotion from the performers. Our guide was very kind, thoughtful, and passionate about the music and the beautiful city. He introduced us to some incredible traditional dishes I would not have otherwise tried on my own
Unfortunately I was the only one on the tour and I would have preferred to have known this at the time as I probably would have cancelled . The Fado show was fantastic, heartfelt and engaging. Dinner was after the show at another place so it was late eating and all that was served were 3 small tapa style dishes and a glass of wine. So definitely would not recommend paying for this tour if you expect what is offered in the description which is a 3 course dinner, entree, main and desert. My guide was lovely and knowledgeable but the whole idea was to be in a group experience.
We had a great evening learning about fado from our guide, Emilia. We had expected a small group so were surprised to find it was just the two of us (plus Emilia). We started with a short walking tour around the Ribeira district. We then went to the venue where we had one of the nicest meals of our trip. Three courses with very generous portions plus beer or wine. The fado performances were excellent. Emilia explained the backstories and lyrics, which added to our understanding. However, if not looking for the extra background and detail, you could easily book a fado show and dinner directly with a fado house without going via a 3rd person tour company like this.
Taking the Porto Fado tour was an unforgettable experience for me in Porto! This trip not only evoked all my senses, but also allowed me to experience the charm and poetry of Portuguese culture. I highly recommend this trip for an in-depth exploration of Porto and the essence of Portuguese culture!
