Le Musée national du Kenya est l'endroit idéal pour découvrir l'histoire du Kenya, de l'époque pré-coloniale à l'ère moderne de l'indépendance. La visite vous emmènera ensuite au centre de girafes à Karen où vous pourrez vous amuser avec ces animaux géants si vous avez de la chance, vous aurez peut-être la chance de les nourrir. De là, vous aurez un mini safari qui s'étend tout l'après-midi à la soirée dans le parc national de Nairobi.

Itinéraire
Commencez la journée en prenant votre hôtel ou votre résidence dans le quartier central des affaires de Nairobi à 9 heures. De là, vous êtes conduit directement au musée national du Kenya. Ici, vous passerez une heure dans le musée avec un guide local qui vous expliquera les différentes sections. La visite se terminera vers 11 heures, où nous conduirons au centre girafe situé juste à l’extérieur de Nairobi.
Au centre girafe, vous passerez une heure de plus près et franc avec la girafe. Un membre du personnel local sera sur place pour vous expliquer les différentes espèces et les différents efforts de conservation pour sauver cette espèce en voie de disparition. De là, vous vous dirigerez pour le déjeuner pendant une heure dans un restaurant local.
Après le déjeuner, vous vous dirigerez vers le parc national pour commencer le safari de 14 heures jusqu'à la fermeture du parc à 18 heures. Bien qu'il ne se trouve qu'à environ 7 km de la ville, ce parc abrite une partie de la faune la plus emblématique du Kenya. Une fois sur place, vous monterez à bord d'un véhicule de jeu et partirez à l'exploration en gardant un œil sur les hippopotames lourds et les troupeaux de zèbres qui serpentent à travers les plaines herbeuses - un spectacle particulièrement spectaculaire face aux gratte-ciels de Nairobi. Dans la soirée, vous serez déposés à votre hôtel ou à votre résidence dans le quartier central des affaires de Nairobi.

On a scale of 1-10 the experience was a 10. Our guide Nathan was excellent. We were able to see all the animals plus a lion all on Nathan’s effort to show us a great experience.

Edwin was on time and flexible with our itinerary. He recommended an earlier start time and it was a brilliant option - got to see a lot more of the wildlife running about. Plus I got to see Nairobi sunrise in the park! The overall tour was cool. The Giraffe Centre was much better than expected - the staff at the site was educational and polite and made sure I got the most out of it. The Nairobi National Museum had some fascinating skeletons on display.

George is one of the kindest, funniest and most genuine people I have met in Nairobi! Could not recommend him enough. He picked us up promptly at our hotel for a full day tour visiting the elephant orphanage, giraffe centre, lunch at a fantastic spot with entertainment and to top it off Nairobi national park. He was super knowledgeable about the surroundings as we were driving from place to place as well as expert level knowledge of the wildlife. He was super accommodating and made us laugh the entire time. He knew all the shortcuts to avoid the traffic too (major brownie points!) George managed to spot so many animals in the national park including Rhinos! He took the time to find as many as he could while making sure we were happy the entire time. Absolute 10/10 for this day trip. George is an absolute gem and knows everything you would want to know about the elephant orphanage, giraffe centre and Nairobi national park. The day wasn’t rushed, George made sure we had enough time to do everything without ushering us on. He even went to the other side of the national park to try and find lions because he knew how much we wanted to see them. I would highly recommend perfect wilderness for all tours as they gave us an unforgettable day! Thank you so much George and Team, you made the day so special.
