La Grande Pyramide de Gizeh (également appelée Pyramide de Khufu et Pyramide de Kheops) est la plus ancienne et la plus grande des trois pyramides de la nécropole de Gizeh bordant ce qui est aujourd'hui El-Gizeh. C'est la plus ancienne des Sept Merveilles du monde antique, et le seul à rester en grande partie intact. Les égyptologues pensent que la pyramide a été construite comme tombeau pour la quatrième dynastie. Le pharaon égyptien Khufu (Cheops en grec) et construit sur une période de 14 à 20 ans se terminant vers 2560 av. Vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel au Caire pour découvrir d'abord les pyramides de Khéops, Chephren et Mykerinos. Passez ensuite à la visite du Grand Sphinx, la tête d'un pharaon avec un corps de lion qui remonte à l'époque de Chephren. Ce Sphinx a été conçu pour être le Gardien des Pyramides du Roi Chephren. La visite comprend également une visite au temple de la vallée qui appartient aux pyramides de Chephren. Le temple servait certainement à deux fins.

Wael was the best tour guide we had in Egypt! His driver and tour guide to-be, Abdul, was a great addition. Their English was perfect; Wael was full of good information; he helped us to get around Sakkara, Memphis, and Giza; and he provided us with more than what we paid for! That being said, the organization of the tour was a bit difficult. Although the tour guide was great, the agency could improve its communication with the clients. For instance, we did not know when or where we would be picked up until 2 days before the tour. We visited many things that were not advertised as well. So if you have something you want to see, you should mention it right away to your tour guide! For future travelers, prepare for a fun tour but be aware that you may have to wait a long time before being in contact with someone.
