Óbidos est situé au cœur de la région de l’Ouest. Entre les montagnes et la mer se trouve l'un des endroits les plus recherchés du centre du Portugal et aujourd'hui nous vous proposons tout ce que vous pouvez visiter à Óbidos. D'origine romaine, la ville d'Óbidos dérive du latin opiddum, qui signifie « ville fortifiée ». Occupée plus tard par les peuples wisigoths et musulmans, elle fut reconquise par le premier roi du Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, en 1148. Ses murs révèlent encore quelques traces des anciens peuples qui se sont installés ici, juste au sommet de la colline, où vous On peut voir d'un côté la lagune d'Óbidos et de l'autre l'aqueduc d'Usseira. La rue droite d'Óbidos nous mène de Porta da Vila au Château. Les bâtiments que nous trouvons préservent l'identité d'Óbidos, considérée comme l'une des villes médiévales les mieux conservées au monde. Les différentes couleurs des maisons de Vila de Óbidos sont le jaune, le bleu, le rouge et le gris. C'est ici que tout se passe. Nazaré est un endroit très spécial, où tradition et modernité se rencontrent et font tomber amoureux ceux qui le visitent. Située sur la côte centrale du Portugal, à 100 km au nord de Lisbonne et à 230 km au sud de Porto, avec une excellente accessibilité, un climat agréable et une population hospitalière, Nazaré a tout pour des vacances mémorables. C'est aussi un bon endroit pour vivre, s'installer et développer des activités économiques, notamment liées à la mer. Elle bénéficie d'un port de pêche et de loisirs, d'un emplacement d'affaires sur la commune, de plages fantastiques et d'une excellente qualité de vie. Le phare de Nazaré est un phare portugais situé dans le fort de São Miguel Arcanjo, à Nazaré, dans la région de l'Ouest. Il s'agit d'une lanterne ronde en fer rouge vif, avec un balcon de service, montée sur le mur du fort. La lumière est allumée pendant deux secondes et éteinte pendant une seconde.

Van was comfortable and travel was easy, however, felt like we paid for travel. There was not much involvement from guide after drop off at towns.

Wow, wow, wow…what a delightful experience! Like I time-traveled back to the 8th century of medieval times. Our tour guide John is phenomenal. Excellent pre-trip communication. This tour to Nazaré and Óbidos exceeded all expectations. Our guide, John (João), was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and made the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. It ended up being just my partner and me, which made it feel like a private tour—he customized the day to our pace and interests, which made a huge difference. Both Nazaré and Óbidos were absolutely stunning, each with its own charm and beauty. The only minor downside was missing the season for the famous 100-foot waves in Nazaré—but honestly, everything else about the day more than made up for it. What a magnificent experience.. the quaint and medieval town of Obidos… and the vibrant Nazare (no big waves.. but both definitely worth a visit. Thank you John.. for being such a superb guide. Knowledgeable, helpful (thanks for directing us to a superb seafood venue for lunch) and wonderful transport ( clean, comfortable mini van) including water refreshments.
