Imaginez un monde vivant et imprégné d'un pouvoir sacré divisé en trois domaines : l'arc étoilé du ciel ; le monde pierreux du milieu de la terre fait pour fleurir et porter des fruits; et, les eaux sombres des enfers ci-dessous; Xibalba. Une courte baignade dans l'eau cristalline vous mènera dans ce royaume incroyable. Ensuite, vous frayer un chemin à travers une panne vous mènera dans le passage d'eau principal, où vous pourrez profiter de formations géologiques étonnantes comme des stalactites étincelantes, des stalagmites et des pierres coulées. Cette chambre cachée promet de révéler d'anciens secrets et des processus géologiques qui ont contribué à façonner le monde souterrain maya. This is an absolutely amazing experience. What you see in the cave is beyond words. Both geological and cultural. Our guide, Israel, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of information during the tour. I will warn, there is a good bit of physical activity. We had a small active group so we may have done a little more than other groups but regardless, there is climbing involved and slippery footing. All that said, this cave compared to the one we tubed through on a different excursion is head and shoulders better. If you are able and have the time, I highly recommend this tour for the activity, information. The lunch after was also excellent. We were treated very well for the whole trip!
Amazing ecological and archaeological experience. Be ready to be in water for almost all the time you’re in the cave, with scrambling and climbing. Our guide was great, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Tour was great with Ben Cruz as tour guide. I was told I was the only one who had signed up and was charged an extra $150 when another person came from the Cayes as well, so not sure how that worked. We weren't allowed to bring anything from the car, including sunglasses or camera, so even the trip to the caves we didn't have anything; this is reasonable, but we weren't told prior to getting there about this. If I had to do it over, I probably would choose a tour from San Ignacio that had more information prior to the tour and personally hire a driver take me there from Belize City. The experience, however, is priceless and the guide was very knowledgeable. The cave in itself with the mild spelunking was worth the trip, but the artifacts and significance of those artifacts will give you goosebumps. DO NOT MISS ATM IF YOU ARE IN BELIZE!!
I been so many different place for Cave adventure this is the best one ! If you have day for free must have to join this tour !
This was amazing! Our tour guide Fernando was so informative and hilarious. Highly recommend! And the food at the end was delicious.
My husband and I wholeheartedly enjoyed our ATM cave adventure. It can seem intimidating at times but the guides were so helpful and made sure we were always safe. We were picked up on time and the lunch was delicious. We highly recommend this tour.
The cave was spiritual, the crystal clear water flowing through the cathedral like caverns was awe inspiring, and our guide, Patrick, was the perfect choice for this Indiana Jones/ archeological tour experience.
Everything was wonderful. We were picked up promptly at the hotel. The tour was so amazing and fun. We had to swim, shimmy, climb and crawl. We all loved it. 3 late teens and myself all thoroughly enjoyed it. Fernando was a great guide. The lunch was delicious as well. An absolute must-do in Belize.
Our driver was great, our tour guide was fantastic and the site was out of this world. Our tour guide has been guiding in this cave for 20 years and we learned a ton from him. Our driver also has worked with archaeologists so that was really cool to learn about on the drive in. This trip is not for the faint of heart, though. We loved it but we’re in pretty good shape. There is some intense climbing and squeezing between rocks. It was the highlight of our trip to Belize.
Very cool experience. Definitely very physical. Amazing experience overall, but do not attempt if you are claustrophobic.
