What a blend of Swiss traditions, history and gastronomy. We not only sampled exquisite chocolates at a few chocolate boutique, but also learnt about Swiss chocolate craftsmanship. We appreciate that the tour guide was attentive to dietary preferences. Overall, it was a nice way to experience such a beautiful region.
It was a full day of beautiful sights, cheese, chocolate and castles. Dimitri was a wonderful guide and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
We appreciate the personalized attention provided by the guide. During the drive to Gruyeres, we saw beautiful Swiss landscapes along the way. At the local cheese factory, we saw the process of their cheese making. That fresh cheese is much different from what you find in the store. At the chocolate factory, it was a true chocolate enthusiast's dream. For my family, this tour was a fantastic way to spend the day.
Who doesn't like treasure hunting? Choco pass Geneva is one variation of that but instead of treasure you get taste packs with chocolates and the owner will tell you some history and how his chocolate is different from others. It costs only 30 swiss francs, covers 10 shops and valid 24 hours (can do it in 2 days) with a 20% discount, if you will buy something else. The best: Du Rhône Chocolatier SA In my opinion this is the best chocolate boutique in centre Geneva. Knowledgeable, welcoming and extremely polite chocolatiers offered delusions and a diverse assortment of their creations. To improve the quality of their products, they paid attention not only to classic recipes but arranged exclusive cocoa-bean supply and created new recipes. In addition, their coffee is what you want to have every morning and don’t want to change. We met at this shop with a choco pass but came back the next day again in spite of the fact that we tested chocolate from different chocolatiers. Thank you for your great work!!!! The worst: Chocolat Favarger - Boutique Rive I was completely ignored by the grey hair s/assistant because I asked about my choco pass in English. My friend comforted me that maybe she doesn’t speak English. To my surprise, when everyone in the store even who came after me was served, she started conversation with me in average English. I got my testing pack, but she said that something was missing and asked me to wait a second. My heart was warmed up, I's finally showed some care. However, for my surprise she offered supposed to be my missing sweets to test everyone in store and I was again forgotten and last in line. If this store served only French speaking customers, why was it included and recommended as international? Avoid it if you don’t speak French!!!!!! Charlie Ganache chocolatier Delusions chocolate, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Very recommended. Enjoy your tour!!!!
We're always working to improve, and your kind words are the best motivation. Thanks for joining our tour!
My taste buds got tantalized by cheese and chocolate. The chocolate factory La Maison Cailler was a mouth-watering experience. The La Maison du Gruyeres cheese factory got me to see some secrets of cheese making. The tour guide made us to indulge our sweet tooth by tasting lots of delicious Swiss cheese. I also bought some artisan products at the Marche Gruerien market. We enjoyed this tour.
We're delighted you relished the Swiss cheese and chocolate journey with us. La Maison Cailler and La Maison du Gruyeres showcased artisanal excellence, while the guide's tastings and Marche Gruerien discoveries made it memorable. Your enjoyment is our success!
