Nous visitons le magnifique temple maya de Xunantunich et après le déjeuner, nous nous dirigeons vers la réserve archéologique de Noh Hoch Chen où nous embarquerons pour notre aventure en tube souterrain. Cette visite combinée commence à 8h00 OU 10h00

Itinéraire
San Jose Succotz est un village maya du district de Cayo au Belize, composé principalement de personnes d'origine maya yucatèque. Il est situé à environ 10 minutes à l'ouest de la ville de San Ignacio. Le temple maya de Xunantunich est situé dans ce village. Nous conduirons jusqu'au village où nous monterons sur le ferry à manivelle et traverserons la rivière Mopan pour accéder au site Maya.
Ici, vous vous retrouverez immergé dans un environnement de jungle vierge, la maison des singes hurleurs, des singes araignées, des oiseaux et des iguanes. En explorant avec votre guide, vous découvrirez l'histoire de ce site et la civilisation maya qui l'habitait autrefois. Nous ferons une pause déjeuner dans un restaurant du village avant de nous diriger vers le site de Cave Tubing.
Découvrez la flore et la faune locales tout au long d'une randonnée de 30 minutes le long des rivières alors que nous nous dirigeons vers l'entrée de la grotte Jaguar Paw. Cette merveille naturelle a été creusée dans les contreforts calcaires des montagnes Maya par la rivière qui la traverse et fait partie du plus grand système de grottes de toute l'Amérique centrale. La recherche archéologique note que les anciens Mayas ont visité le site pour mener d'importants rituels. Une fois à l'entrée, nous enfilons nos phares et nos gilets de sauvetage et c'est parti. Vous êtes propulsé par les courants doux pendant que votre guide vous renseigne sur les formations naturelles trouvées à l'intérieur de la grotte. En sortant de la première grotte, la deuxième partie devient plus excitante à mesure que l'eau coule plus vite. Détendez-vous, détendez-vous et profitez de la balade ! C'est une aventure incroyable dont vous vous souviendrez toujours.

The activities were amazing and the guide was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. One thing I didn’t realize was that there was a long drive between the archaeological site and the cave tubing and then back to San Ignacio, so a fairly large portion of the day was spent in the car. However, I enjoyed the drive and seeing the towns and countryside. Overall, I think the trip was worth the money, and I recommend it!
Cave tubing was awesome! Our guide was Pedro he was nice, very knowledgeable and took pictures for us.

Absolutely amazing experience! We booked directly with Reuben at the hotel who made the whole process seamless and made sure we were prepared for the day. We had the most amazing time visiting both the ruins and the cave tubing adventure. We had 2 adults and 3 kids ages 13,11, and 9. The kids really enjoyed the entire day and we would highly recommend booking this company!!!

We had a wonderful time during the whole trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on anything from the local agriculture to the Mayan Ruins, the underground river caves and more. We booked a stay with Cayo at Terry’s place. When we asked Terry about tour and experience options she said she had guides and shuttle drivers. We were a little worried about using the same company for everything but took a chance. We are VERY HAPPY that we used Cayo Inland Tours for all our local needs. We took 3 shuttles and 2 tours with them and all were great experiences. Wayne was our shuttle driver for all three trips. (Airport in Belize City to San Ignacio, San Ignacio to Placencia, and Placencia to Belize City). Wayne made us feel at home and was very informative as well as accommodating. He stopped for lunch and snacks and on the last shuttle he even brought us home made banana cake. We learned a lot about Belize from Wayne. He is the kind of guy that is always laughing and smiling. Dimas was our guide for Mayan ruins, zip lining and cave/river tubing. All three stops were great and exceeded our expectations. Dimas was knowledgeable about the ruins, the jungle and the cave. Pedro was our guide to Big Rock Waterfall. Again this trip exceeded our expectations and Pedro had a lot to do with making the trip so great. He showed us how to get behind the waterfalls and helped our kids safely do some cliff jumping. All three drivers/guides were long time Cayo employees with around 30 years combined. All three were proud of Belize and seemed to enjoy sharing the history and beauty of their country. We would advise anyone coming to San Ignacio to consider Cayo Inland Adventures and hope you are lucky enough to get Wayne as a driver or Dimas and Pedro as guides.

My wife and I truly had an amazing experience on this tour esp because of Bern, who made the entire trip so memorable. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends and family. Bern was not only professional but he also went far above and beyond our expectations. He arrived 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled pickup time, welcomed us with a warm smile, introduced himself and gave us a detailed overview of the tour for the day. We hopped into his very clean vehicle and made our way to Xunantunich. Throughout our visit, we never felt rushed. Bern was very informative, patient and made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. On our way to the cave tubing adventure, we stopped for lunch, which was a nice addition to the day. The cave tubing experience itself was unforgettable. Inside the dark cave, we even got off our tubes to see the pottery left behind by the Mayans, which was truly incredible and made the experience even more special. Throughout the entire tour Bern consistently provided us with water, fresh towels and a friendly smile.
