Nous visiterons la villa maya de Chacchoben, du même nom et ancêtres de l'ancienne ville maya. Au cours de cette visite, assistez à la vie quotidienne des héritiers de cette grande culture lors de vos échanges avec votre hôte et sa famille. Ils vous apprendront des ingrédients des tortillas classiques aux remèdes maison pour certaines morsures de la faune endémique. Une visite familiale ne saurait être complète sans un repas. Au cours de cette visite, vous expérimenterez des plats traditionnels préparés avec des techniques ancestrales transmises de génération en génération, avec des produits locaux et des produits frais qui impressionneront l’authentique goût maya.
Visitez le lagon de Bacalar, un ancien refuge célèbre pour les pirates, où vous pourrez vous détendre, nager ou faire une promenade en kayak dans les eaux rafraîchissantes du lagon aux sept couleurs. Prenez une pause avec votre boisson préférée au bord du lagon ou profitez simplement de la brise et du paysage incroyable.

It was a very good way to get to know the Mayan culture. Victoria, Orchid and Felipa taught us very kindly typical Mayan cuisine. And Magali, our guide, did a great job explaining everything. Abel also brought his kindness and great driving. We were lucky because we were alone on the tour and arrived first to the 7 color lagoon.
Peaceful & Authentic: Arriving on Enchantment of the Seas, I wanted something different from the usual big-bus tours. This small-group experience was exactly that. Sharing a traditional meal with a Mayan family felt personal, and floating in Bacalar’s clear waters was the highlight of my cruise.

Three Generations, One Perfect Day: Our group had grandparents, parents, and kids, all from Wonder of the Seas, and we all loved it. The kids had fun making tortillas, my parents enjoyed the cultural stories, and we all swam together in Bacalar’s turquoise waters. This tour had something for everyone.

Booked this trip 3 weeks in advance to do during our cruise. Received the itinerary but there was no meeting time or drop off time given, which made it hard to know if it would match up to the cruise arrival/departure. Contacted the booking agent twice to resolve this and was told the vendor (Next Experience) would provide the necessary details within a few hours. Never heard back - twice. Had to cancel.

Rosa was an amazing tour guide! She took care of everything for us and was very knowledgeable. The only thing we did not like about this tour was how long it took to walk down the extremely long pier and then another 15 min to where the tour began. Its a long walk with small children.
