We always book a hop on hop off tour in any major city we visit. It's a great way to see the major attractions and provides great transportation around the city.
Great deal to get around Athens, stops at all tourist sites. Guides at stops are very helpful & friendly, drivers that don’t speak English do their best. Highly recommended
Perfect way to see the highlights of the city the top was on for shade to you didn’t have full sun and buses ran often
I always like cityseeing bus. It was interesting and useful information about Rome. Only one thing I don't like: 30 minutes wait time between busses.
The bus ride was as expected. What you can do better is give the customer information on what the stops looked like and where the stops are so you can board for the first time. Also initially had no map of the route. Happened into an attendant by accident at the first stop where he scanned my ticket, gave me a receipt which I used subsequently to get back on the bus. Also, had no idea what the ear phone situation was which is necessary to understand where you are and where you are going to cross with the map. Sales was easy but post support/information was lacking. The attendant did a good job of explaining what to expect.
For some reason we were booked onthe red bus but put on the blue gray line bus? The audio was all static ,seats cracked and so worn out. Seats uncomfortable. There was no shade covering onthe upper deck. It was dusty and dirty . Downstairs level Airconditiong barely working. The driver was on his mobile phone screaming so loud no earbuds it completely covered over the crackly un comprehendible audio. We waited over a half hour at certain stops as the red hop on hop off busses were passing us by This was my worst experience ever on a hop on off tour of a city. I use them every where I travel to.
Excellent service, helpful guides, bus was obvious and easy to find. Air conditioning down stairs and informative. Perfect for getting around Athens on a hot day.
Great way to tour Athens and see the "it" spots. Much cheaper through Viator than when you arrive. Air conditioned on the bottom of the buses and great breeze on top!
Great way to explore Athens and surrounding area when your time is limited. We were able to see the historical sites, get commentary on the bus, decide what was worth getting off the bus for exploration. The hosts were also helpful in guiding us where we wanted to get off based on what we were looking for or what we to do. We were able to take all 4 lines in one day!
