I think this could be a great excursion but unfortunately I came on a day where there was some work happy hour so people were talking and it was virtually impossible to hear the narration. People constantly standing in front of you and block your view. Maybe a different ship would be better but the staff could probably do a better job of managing everyone.
A great little boat tour in Chicago I had a great time and Jim was great to funny guy my husband and I definitely learned something’s about the building we wouldn’t have guessed! Beautiful views!
Go on the 8 pm one and see the city as it turns to evening. Beautiful! Our whole family enjoyed it. Definitely recommend!
So amazing! Recommend it to all! Tour was engaging, fun, and we reference to what we learned often as we walked around the city afterwards.
We loved the tour, and Chicago is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the guide’s attitude made the experience uncomfortable. She repeatedly reminded guests to “be quiet” because she said she could not tolerate people making noise. The group was not being disruptive—people were simply talking quietly and enjoying the experience. At one point, she even suggested that guests go downstairs because she wanted to hear herself and know exactly who was listening. This is a sightseeing tour, not a classroom lecture or an exam. Guests should be able to relax, interact, and enjoy themselves while still being respectful. The tour itself was wonderful, but the constant demands for silence made everyone feel tense and took away from what should have been an enjoyable experience.
This was a lovely day on the river learning about the history of Chicago in a fun and comfortable way. I asked a. specific question outside the architecture’s realm and she made sure it was answered during the tour.
You should not sell more tickets than seats on the top of the boat. We arrived 15 minutes early and still had to stand (no seats avaiable) on the lower deck the entire time. We had obstructed views and could not hear the tour guide. It was not what we paid for. Disappointed.
I’ve been to Chicago half a dozen times but have never done a river tour. I wish I would have done this sooner! Beautiful way to see the Chicago city skyline and learn interesting facts about the city. Our tour guide was exceptional and gave a lot of local recommendations. We did this tour with our young children and 45 minutes was the perfect time to keep them entertained. Would love to do the 90 minute tour next time we visit.
Guide was knowledgeable about the buildings on the river. An enjoyable and relaxing way to see the sights and history of Chicago.
The meeting point was a little confusing because there was a lot of construction going on, but when I messaged the business I got a response within minutes. Very helpful employees and the tour was amazing!
