Veuillez noter que plus tard vous commencerez moins vous verrez de successions. Grâce à cette visite des vins, vous pourrez découvrir les environs de Stellenbosch et c’est la route des vins par le biais d’un service Hop on Hop off qui part du lundi au vendredi Cette route va à 5 domaines viticoles différents dans la journée, vous décidez où vous voulez aller et combien de temps vous voulez rester dans chaque ferme. Les fermes visitées sont Lanzerac, Neil Ellis, Le Pommier, Zorgvliet et Boschendal.

We were picked up on time & went to our first winery- Neil Ellis - where we spent a very pleasant hour tasting their wines. We were then driven to our next stop & the Jeep was full with a group of about 6 who were having lunch & requested a pick up in 2 hours, which they are fully entitled to do. Unfortunately our driver thought this meant all of us, which was not the case. After waiting almost 20 minutes past the pickup time & contacting Vine Hopper the driver returned, apologised & took us to the venue & assured us he would return at 3:45 to pick us up. Guess what? After calling Vine Hopper again the driver turned up around 20 mins late & this time no apologies. I subsequently contacted Vine Hopper with my dissatisfaction but they have not got back to me.
Good Day, sorry that the driver was late twice. Just want to clear up 2 points. 1. You did the tour during the weekend. I did email you and addressed your complaint first thing Monday morning. Pressume you wrote the review before then 2. As I was saying in my response email. We had a massive fire that raged in the winelands, (which you probably saw) which impacted the day. Road was closed and we could not go to Boschendal due to the fire next to teh road and smoke. Subsequently the traffic was also impacted. I do agree the driver should have communicated better and we have taken it up with him. WE apologise for that.

On time driver with every pick up (hotel and wineries) He had great knowledge about the different wineries and tips.

Touring the vineyards is a great experience and well worth the visit. However we were on the eastern route and the first people on for the 10am tour. Delivered us to the first stop and all good but the cellar tour took longer than the overall hour we were allocated so we were left at the vineyard. Remember we were first so nobody else on the route. The courier took the decision to go back to town to pick up the twp people that were for the next tour an hour later so he then had a full truck. We were stuck waiting for him. All well after that until another stop when we were three minutes late and again he left us. Apparently one of the ladies that did make the truck asked the driver if he was going to leave us for three minutes and he said YES. Wow! This meant that the last vineyard we had hardly any time after we had to ring the office to ask for the truck to come back. One couple actually sent for an Uber because of the wait. The when we got back to town we were told it’s close to here when he stopped and we would be better to walk with us having absolutely no idea when to go. Resorted to Google maps. One couple cancelled a tour and decided to do it by Uber. I can say no more except the tip is to stop leaving people especially when you have the phone numbers for contact.
This was one of the highlights of our honeymoon! Can’t imagine a better way to tour multiple fabulous wineries! So glad we picked this tour and this route!
Not as good as the northern/southern route. We were met with a safari type truck, with open air seating. So, you had to climb up and down to get in! Really no interaction with the driver/guide as you get on the northern/southern route with Marchall!! Enjoyed the day, but could have been better.
Well organised route with some excellent vineyards, including 2 of the oldest in South Africa. Marshall, the guide, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He made sure no one was left behind and everyone kept to the timetable. We would highly recommend Vine Hopper Eastern route and, in particular, Marshall.
Loved the food and wine pairing. You don’t have time to leisurely taste 5 wines in an hour from drop off to pick up. Better to share if you do that many. It’s quite a high step to get into the truck. It was such a fun day and enjoyed meeting the others on the tour. Highly recommend.

An easy, do it yourself hop on hop off tour. Driver basically drives the circuit of wineries every hour and you can come and go as you like. Very friends driver and overall a really good day

This tour has nothing to do with hop on hop off. The route and the schedule is preset. A change is not possible. The buses are filled to the last seat. The wineries are all very nice and interesting.
