Kompong Kleang est l'un des villages flottants du lac Tonlé Sap. Le lac Tonlé Sap est le plus grand lac d'eau douce d'Asie du Sud-Est. Pendant la saison sèche, la teneur du lac est de 2 700 km2. Pendant la saison des pluies, la taille du lac n'est que 3 fois supérieure à celle de la saison sèche. il y a plus de 200 épices de poisson. Il a une connexion très spatiale avec le fleuve Mékong pendant la saison des pluies, c'est un réservoir pour restaurer l'eau du fleuve Mékong. Il y a 5 provinces autour du lac, Siem Reap, Battambong, Pusat, Kompong Chhnang et Kompong Thom. toutes ces 5 provinces ont un très bon potentiel pour la culture du riz car le principal approvisionnement en eau provient du lac. Pendant la saison des pluies, vous pouvez voyager en bateau jusqu'à la capitale Phnom Penh.

Fantastic morning spent visiting the Kompong Kleang floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. Excellent service provided by Ra and his friend our driver. Ra is a fantastic tour guide. His English is very good and fluent. Touring with him is a history lesson in itself. He has vast knowledge of not only the Temples, but Siem Reap and surrounding areas. The beauty of touring with him is the hidden gems, where locals hang out, he will take you to. The van is large, clean and I always feel safe! The Floating Hut Restaurant is so relaxing after a visit to Kulen Mountain so, make sure to stop! Speaking of stopping, when or if you see something of interest, he will pull over so you can shop, taste local street food and find new off the beaten track delights.
