Si vous êtes amateur de vin et de brandy savoureux, vous tomberez instantanément amoureux de l'Albanie. Située le long de la mer Méditerranée, l'Albanie est l'endroit idéal pour cultiver les raisins parfaits qui produisent certaines des meilleures boissons de la région. La vinification est une tradition ancienne en Albanie, qui remonte à l'âge du bronze. Avance rapide jusqu'aux années de dictature communiste, les vignobles ont prospéré mais ne pouvaient être contrôlés que par l'État. Aujourd'hui, de nombreux établissements vinicoles appartiennent à la famille et produisent les vins, les whiskies et la boisson nationale albanaise - le raki. Le long d'un magnifique lac bleu-vert à seulement 50 minutes de Durres et à une heure de Tirana. Les raisins cultivés sur leur vignoble massif produisent trois types de vins : merlot, tempranillo et cabernet sauvignon.

A very disappointing experience marked by poor communication, last-minute changes and a subsequent misrepresentation of the facts. The day before the tour, we sent multiple messages through tripadvisor (where we booked the tour) and directly to the WhatsApp number provided in the booking email and PDF seeking confirmation of the pickup arrangements. None of these messages received a response. On the morning of the tour, at 8am on a Sunday morning, less than two hours before departure, the operator unilaterally changed the pickup time to 45 minutes earlier than the time stated on all booking confirmations and tour documents. When the operator eventually called, after not replying to any of our messages for over an hour, they asked how long we would need to reach the pickup point. We explained that we could be ready and there within approximately 10 minutes if we rushed (so 9.25 when the original pick up was 10am). We were told, rudely and abruptly, that the driver could only wait 5 minutes, not 10, and that they would speak to their manager to see whether they could collect other guests first and then return for us. We were told they would call us back. No one ever called us back. We had to message and call again, closer to 10 and simply received a “you have been reported as a no show” message. What is particularly concerning is that the operator subsequently told Viator that they had offered us 10 minutes and that we were late. This is simply not what happened and is a deliberate and dishonest mischaracterisation of the events. All three members of our group heard the conversation on loudspeaker and are clear about what was said. The operator refused the 10 minutes we offered (in response to their question) and promised to investigate an alternative arrangement before calling us back. We have call logs, messages and screenshots documenting our repeated attempts to communicate both before and during the tour. Given this evidence, it is disappointing that our concerns appear to have been dismissed without proper investigation. This was not a case of failing to attend the tour. We were actively communicating with the operator for 24 hours in advance of the tour, attempting to join the tour, and waiting for the callback we had been promised. Fortunately, we went on to visit another winery in the Durrës area independently and were treated with professionalism, courtesy and respect. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this operator. I would actively recommend avoiding them.
