Cours de cuisine vietnamienne dans le restaurant historique de Hoi An

We had a great afternoon at a cooking class at the Green Mango, based in the old town of Hoi An. Our chef Hai guided us, with just the right blend of humour and precise, practical instruction through the preparation of five dishes - including how to recognize some of the vast array of herbs that distinguish Vietnamese cooking from other cuisines. This was all conducted in a very friendly environment and we had the opportunity to eat the food we had prepared in the restaurant after the class. Hai then emailed us very detailed instructions on how to prepare the food once we returned home. All in all, we had a very enjoyable experience.

We were keen to do a cooking class whilst in Hoi An. Many included a fishing boat or visit to the markets. Neither really appealed. But then we noted one at the Green Mango Restaurant. Wow this one was a good choice. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing a restaurant standard meal under the expert guidance of our teacher for our session,. Cinnamon. Then we got to consume the meal we had prepared. Strongly recommended.

I attended a morning cooking class and I arrived at the Green Mango restaurant and warmly greeted by Pinky, my guide and teacher. I was the only person attending this morning’s class and I had the great fortune to have one-on-one tuition with an excellent teacher. We attended Hoi An market for ingredients and returned to the restaurant. Pinky took me through the process of making five classic Vietnamese dishes. At the end of the session I enjoyed the beautiful meal we had cooked together overlooking the streetscape in the ancient town. I cannot recommend this cooking course highly enough! Thank you Pinky and the Green Mango restaurant! 5⭐️!!

We had a fabulous time at the cooking class. Cinnamon the chef explained everything clearly and we learnt new cooking techniques. We cooked five dishes and then sat down to eat them in the restaurant.

A knowledgeable teacher with very good English, thorough explanations of the food, how to replicate it at home and why we were doing each step. Easy to book and the staff were all so friendly - including in the restaurant where we ate our delicious food after the class. Well laid out class - flowed between 5 different dishes very well, including marinading, having a snack during the class. The only downside was the heat - we were there in the middle of the day in peak summer, and it was quite warm! We were able to rest and sit, but I'd recommend going earlier in the day - I'm sure it's fine not in June 😅

Fantastic experience from start to end. Our chef teacher explained us the different methods and taught us how to prepare various types of traditional Vietnamese food. Would highly recommend. The market visit was also informative because we learner how various herbs are harvested and prepared. They also adjusted our menu to cater for vegetarian diet.

Best cooking class ever! 100% recommend it

Cook Hai took us fiendly with a lot of humor through the class. Very clean kitchenette, all utensils use according to the hygiëne rules and it was so much fun to cook your meal. It was beautifully served in the restaurant afternoon cooking and was delicious. We got the recipes directly over the mail (and are widely spread already). Very fiendly staff, lovely restaurant, and a wonderful experience for us.

Highly recommended! Thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Pinky. She was just great, very patient with two amateur cooks! The lunch we produced was so delicious. We impressed ourselves!!
