Lilly was a phenomenal guide with much vast knowledge of Vienna and its rich history. She made the tour so immersive and personal with little treats of Viennese music to go along with the history and stories she shared. Absolute treat of a guide 20/10 recommend
As previously said by other persons, if you truly want to see and experience each town, you need more time. If you go on this tour you will just get a glimpse of the sites, I.e. a drive by, no time to truly experience the culture, eat or shop. In Melt all we were able to do is walk down the stairs and pass the front gate, and take a few pictures, nothing was open and there wasn’t enough time to walk to see the monastery, never mind go inside. Hallstatt was beautiful but you need at least 4/5 hours to truly appreciate and experience the town. Salzburg you need an entire day or better yet an overnight stay to truly experience the town. We got a 1 hour super rushed tour which I did not appreciate. It took a half hour to walk to town to meet the tour guide and half hour to walk back to the bus, you only had a half hour to eat and shop and go to the bathroom, not enough time. If you just want a drive by tour this is for you, if you truly want to see and experience the towns go on a tour that gives you at least a half day in Melt and a half day in Hallstatt and at least a full day in Salzburg, it is a BIG town. Our tour was delayed by an hour so we also lost that time it was never made up. The bus driver drove very fast as well, very fast. Our guide’s voice would put you to sleep, spoke English well but definitely used inappropriate words at time for descriptive purposes, I.e. she was looking for words to describe a certain situation but picked the wrong ones which at times could be considered offensive to some persons. I would not recommend the tour unless you like a drive by tour. If you really want to experience each town, you need to pick other tours and need 2 to 3 days to truly experience them. If you don’t have the time, this is just ok but I would do something else instead..
This was an amazing trip and I highly recommend it to those who are thinking of going. Our tour guide Sofia was exceptional!! Sofia provided very good information about the places we were visiting, she was very articulate and highly organised. In summary, the trip was worth every penny, and it was a fantastic experience!!!
We met in the morning at 7:30 and left a little after 8 O'clock.
-Tour started 8:45a instead of 7am -Tour guide Sabrina and Driver: both professional as expected -Due to delayed start, time spent at each stop was limited and highly rushed -Last stop was huge disappointment (Salzburg). This city was main reason why we spent $500+ and full day of our vacation. We got less than an hour. Had to rush back as no time enough for food or site seeing as was described in the original marketing pitch -Definitely felt a poor value of money and more importantly time
Very long day but Hallstatt and Salzburg are far away. With road works the trip there was 4 hours each way. Paid extra for hotel pick up and taxi was there at 10pm to take us home again. Long day but so glad we did it. Hallstatt was lovely and Salzburg very interesting. Bought ticket for Furnicular to go up to castle. Tour guide Milo was great
I booked this trip months in advance for my husband's birthday trip. I got a call less than 12 hours ahead that ooops we have no seats for you. No explanation. Just so careless. People plan these trips way ahead of time everything is timed according to our schedule.
Such a great experience! Everything ran smoothly, the views were beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
Honestly, this tour was such a great experience. The ride was really comfortable, the views were absolutely beautiful, and the guide so friendly and full of interesting information. We really couldn’t have asked for a better trip!
We really enjoyed our day trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg. We had about 2.5 hours at each location. Enough to get a taste of each location, snap photo highlights, roam the streets, and grab a quick snack or meal. Although the trip makes a long day (7am to 9:15pm), the bus was very comfortable and they made a short bathroom breaks on each way. Guides were very friendly and even offered to help take photos. Although our bus had electrical outlets, they didnt have USB ports and required local plugs. Hallstatt is beautiful and worth the stop. Salzburg was beautiful and given its size, it would have been nice to spend a day or two there.
