We had a cruise stop in Victoria and was looking for something different to do as we have been to Victoria many times. We were not quite sure how the tour would be, but Emile was an awesome tour guide. He engaged with all the customers and was very easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable and did a good job dealing with if someone had a physical limitation or did not drink alcohol. It was a very lovely and not rushed day. We are now looking forward to finding out Hidden Tours.
Our tour guide was great!!! Brownwyn was excellent!! We learned a lot about Victoria and tasted some delicious food along the way!
This trip gives you a good look at the city and you learn about its history. Our guide was very sweet and knowledgeable.
We had a delightful walking tour of beautiful Victoria with guide, Fish. We started with a harbor boat ride to Chinatown then visited 3 other downtown sections. We were treated to some delicious food and drink while learning so much history from native, Fish, whose love of his hometown was clearly evident. The tour would be best early in your stay but we did it on our last day and still learned a lot.
Such a delightful time! Learned a bit about the area history and enjoyed tasty bites of food along the way. Had a very engaging tour guide named Fish. He definitely made the tour enjoyable.
Our guide, Julie, was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and shared a lot of interesting stories. The walking was pretty easy and the total distance walked was moderate. The food and drink samples at the Drake and Bard and Banker were excellent. We just wish we had more time at those locations to enjoy them as things were a bit rushed. Even the stop at the candy store was too quick. Overall. a good tour experience in Victoria!
We took this tour on a whim while spending the day in Victoria during a cruise ship stop. It exceeded our expectations. Julie the guide was an amazing source of knowledge and taught us a lot about how Victoria came to be and took us to places with wonderful food and drinks. Another Hidden Victoria guide, Garret, was shadowing her and also gave us lots of great information and advice. The tour was jam packed with information and it was wonderful for exploring more of Victoria on our own after the tour. The stops were so excellent we returned to one of them and another she pointed out during the tour. We finished the tour with full tummies and were very satisfied
Interesting historical and cultural walking (and ferry!) tour of Victoria. Our guide, Emile, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very good company. Thoroughly recommend carving out the 2 1/2hrs to do this tour!
My husband and I joined this tour along with my brother and sister-in-law and another couple from our cruise. We booked the tour independently on Viator and it was less expensive than the cruise’s price. We all thoroughly enjoyed this tour of the historic downtown of Victoria. Our guide, Gary, was easy going and he was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. We learned about how Victoria was founded, the First Nation peoples on Vancouver Island, the Chinese immigrants who built the railroads in Canada and impact of the gold rush on the city. We visited and learned about the Empress Hotel, Chinatown/Fan Tan Alley and Market Square plus other sites in the area. We had leisurely drinks and delicious bites at two lovely pubs plus a stop at a historic chocolate shop. I had hoped we were going to stop for a Chinese bite, but we certainly had enough to eat. Our tour was late in the day. We had a coffee and a light snack before the tour and, with the bites in the tour, it was enough for lunch.
Did the bites and sights/ferry excursion and David (Fish) was an excellent guide! He was so knowledgeable, fun and energetic. We learned so much from him - he definitely loves his city and it made us love visiting Victoria!
