Nadi was a wonderful guide. She was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We were delighted to have her for our guide at Versailles and greeter at Giverny. She has a delightful way of asking questions and explaining things in a playful way. Hope you get her for your guide.
Being in a small group tour was the perfect way to see both. Once you see the line for the non-group entrance, you will be so very glad you are in a group.
Our driver and our guide at Versailles were excellent. I give both of them 5 stars. Our guide for Monet’s garden was useless: he gave little information and seemed anxious to dump us at the end of the garden tour (we knew that he would not be guiding us in the Monet house). The garden tour guide is the reason that this excursion received only 4 stars instead of 5.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you were very satisfied with both your driver and your guide at Versailles, and we truly appreciate your 5-star comments about them. We are sorry to read that you were disappointed with the guided visit of Monet’s garden. We would, however, like to clarify that the guided portion in Monet’s garden is scheduled for approximately 30 minutes. Regarding Monet’s house, guides are not permitted to conduct guided tours inside, as the space is very small and was originally Monet’s private home, not a museum designed for guided group visits. To provide additional context and information, we also made a video guide available to guests during the journey from Versailles to Giverny. We regret that this part of the experience did not fully meet your expectations, and we sincerely thank you for your comments, which help us continue improving our excursions. Kind regards, The Team
This was a wonderful way to spend the day, thank you to both our guides and driver. The tour of Versailles was wonderful, our guide was very knowledgeable and took time to let us see everything at our own pace. The grounds are extensive and the only drawback was there was little time to see it all ;) Monets gardens were just beautiful and it is self directed so you can take as long as you like to meander through. Thank you to the coordinator for assistance with pickup! You were very helpful and it was much appreciated!
The tour to Versailles and Giverny was awesome! The tour guides and the drivers were amazing. Fred, the driver to Giverny was outstanding. We would recommend this combined tour.
The pickup and travel experience were smooth, the van comfortable, and our drivers were friendly, informative, and helpful, plus it was good to see something outside of the central ring of arrondissements where we spent most of our time. Versailles was crowded, by our guide Elise did a great job of keeping our small group together and out of the crush of humanity. Most importantly, her presentation added much depth and context to what we were seeing. I learned a lot and enjoyed the experience much more than I would have by just touring independently. She was a delight. The trip to Giverny was unguided, but the staff person who greeted us there and saw that we got back to our car at the end of the day was kind, helpful, and informative. My friends and I enjoyed the experience.
Wonderful - stunning - great trip - tour guide was funny and informative - loved the day !! Would recommend .
The Giverny half of the day (which was a self-tour) was great, but the Versailles trip was incredibly disorganized. After our driver picked everyone up, we had to make multiple stops so that our driver could pickup and assemble the ear pieces for all company tours scheduled for that time. This resulted in sitting on the side of the road 10 minutes from Versailles for 30 minutes. Once at Versailles, our driver indicated a different car would be picking us up, so nothing could be stored in the car. The tour guide had difficulty answering questions about Versailles and was incredibly scattered. Her heavy accent also made it difficult to understand her through the ear pieces. She also wasn’t aware of who in the group was also booked for the Gardens, which caused even more confusion. It started to rain as we left the Gardens, and once we found our new driver, he was more preoccupied in getting the ear pieces back rather than getting us out if the rain. We wish we had just taken the metro and done a self-guided tour.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your day in Giverny and Versailles. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the self-guided tour of Giverny, but we are truly sorry that the Versailles part of the trip did not meet your expectations. We would like to provide some important clarifications regarding the issues you mentioned: 🔹 Regarding the stop before arriving at Versailles: When drivers arrive a little early, they are not allowed to stop near Versailles and must park a bit further away temporarily while waiting for the authorized drop-off time. Minivans are not allowed to park near the Château de Versailles. If they do, a fine of 135 € is imposed on our company. Therefore, our drivers are only permitted to drop off passengers quickly and then leave immediately. 🔹 Regarding the guide: We are surprised to hear your feedback as this guide is internationally renowned, having authored several books on French history and regularly collaborating with cultural institutions. It is possible that her French accent made understanding more challenging through the earphones, and we apologize for this. However, we always select guides with an accent that is understandable to most international visitors. 🔹 Regarding the vehicle change and the rain: We fully understand your discomfort. The collection of the earphones at the end of the visit is essential, as some clients unfortunately do not return them, which complicates logistics for subsequent tours. This may have caused a slight delay in pick-up, and we regret that this exposed you to the rain. Lastly, we understand you might have preferred to take the metro and tour on your own. However, it is important to note that it is very difficult to visit both Giverny and Versailles in one day without organized transport, due to the distance, schedules, and ticket coordination. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us continually improve our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a smoother experience. Best regards,
Very smooth convenient priority access. Guide was interesting, knowledgeable and helpful. Will certainly recommend.
Oh my gosh, what an amazing place and Maria brought all of it alive and was able to clearly describe the times and the significance of both the monarchs and peasants perspectives changed over the years that lead to the revolution. It was truly enlightening. There were six of us on the tour and we were all glad we took it.
