Cameron was an excellent tour guide! The boat ride was fun, even my kids enjoyed the trip. We saw a lot of seals, great scenic stops along the Vancouver coast, and even spotted a couple whales towards the end in the water!

This was an amazing way to spend our afternoon. Captain Dave was (is) awesome! He shared a lot of interesting information and stories throughout the 90 minute trip. Definitely worth the price and one of our favorite memories from Vancouver.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great afternoon on the water and that Captain Dave helped make it one of your favourite memories from Vancouver. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed his stories and insights throughout the trip. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him! Thank you for joining us, and we hope to welcome you aboard again for another memorable adventure!
Captain Mark was brilliant. Great, laid back guide who treated us to lots of local knowledge, visits to seals lounging in the sun and he spotted a bald eagle for us hanging out in a tree. The speed of the boat was exhilarating, especially sat up front. Our two teenagers (16 and 18) loved it, laughed hysterically most of the way thanks to the splashes and high speed and said it was the highlight of their trip to Canada. Thanks Mark, we had a blast.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Sophie! We’re so glad you enjoyed seeing seals and bald eagles on your tour! It’s really sweet to hear that your teenagers laughed throughout the tour and called it the highlight of their trip to Canada. We hope to welcome your family back aboard again one day for another adventure!
We had the best experience with our guide! We saw seals, bald eagles and even a humped back whale. Would definitely recommend! Bring warm clothes even if it’s hot out.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great experience with your guide and got to see seals, bald eagles, and even a humpback whale! It sounds like you had some fantastic wildlife sightings. And thank you for the helpful tip, we always recommend bringing a few warm layers, as it can feel much cooler out on the water, even on a warm day. We really appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you aboard again soon!
I thoroughly enjoyed the views and the tour. I especially loved seeing the seals and sea birds. The boat itself -- a high-speed rubber raft -- was unexpected. Prince of Whales is insistent about people signing a waiver that indicates you understand and accept responsibility for the risks involved and confirming that you have had no recent surgeries, back injuries, etc. I thought that was merely the work of some overzealous lawyer protecting their interests, but the reality is that the speedboat ride is bone-jarring, as you slam down repeatedly from swells and the wake from other boats -- and the seas were relatively calm today. That said, the boat is small enough that there are no bad seats. Unfortunately, wildfire smoke dimmed views that otherwise would have been breathtaking.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the scenery, tour, and especially the seals and seabirds. We also appreciate you sharing your thoughts about the zodiac experience and the importance of the safety information provided before boarding. Our waivers and restrictions are in place to help guests understand the nature of the experience and make an informed decision about whether this type of tour is suitable for them. We’re sorry the wildfire smoke affected the views during your trip, but we’re glad the smaller vessel gave you great visibility from every seat. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback, and we hope to welcome you aboard again on a clearer day!
Incredible experience. We had our 2 grandkids with us and they were thrilled to see the seals as well as the whales. Great guide in Captain Dave, he made the trip with his narrative and knowledge of the coast and a bit of history of the city.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Alan! We’re so happy to hear that you and your grandkids had such a memorable time on the water, especially getting to see both the seals and whales. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Captain Dave, we’re thrilled that his stories, knowledge, and local history helped make the experience even more special. We hope to welcome you and your family aboard again in the future!
