Valladolid Food Tour : Marchés locaux, Street Food &YucatecanCuisine

Alejandra was awesome. I was lucky enough to have the tour to myself so we had the opportunity to chat more. The locations were great and I appreciated the variety starting with a Fresca and ending with a frozen fruit bar. We visited the Mercado and enjoyed some fruits there. It was a great touch to not just have taco after taco, it gets filling.

This food tour has been one of the highlights of our trip. We can’t thank Charlie enough for sharing all of his knowledge of Mayan and yucatan cuisine! Not only did we get to taste unbelievable food that we would never have found without him, but we also learned so much about Valladolid and the maya people. Even some phrases! All of the spots Charlie showed us were different local eateries and had lovely staff that were all so keen to show you their dishes. We really enjoyed chatting with Charlie who is such an interesting and knowledgeable guy. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your culture and favourite spots with us! Highly recommend this tour to anyone in Valladolid!

My (adult) kids and I had a fantastic time on the Valladolid food tour with Ale! I was worried going into the tour since I am a wheelchair user and wasn't sure how accessible it would be. And while there were of course challenges navigating some areas of town, overall she help me make it work and I am so glad it worked out! Because all the food we tried was fantastic. We went to places I probably would never would have just popped into, but had some of the best food of our stay on the tour. From tacos, and paunchos and lomitas and pipil... And so much more. I highly recommend the tour and the great introduction to Yucatan cuisine that it provides!

We did the Lost Tacos food tour as a family of four adults and had such a great experience. Carlos was an excellent guide — really informative, easy to chat to, and he made the whole experience fun and relaxed. We got to try lots of local food that we never would have ordered or discovered on our own, and everything was absolutely delicious. Carlos explained how each dish was made, what ingredients were used, and what made the food unique to this region of Mexico, which made the experience even more interesting. It was also fun that all four of us ended up having different favourite tacos because there was so much variety and everything was so tasty. Overall, it was one of the highlights of our time in Valladolid and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area

The lost taco tour company are wonderfully kind people and despite a mix up in dates they gladly accommodated. Their guide Alé who filled in at a moment’s notice was kind, lovely and very knowledgeable about food having owned a restaurant herself. She used gastronomy to weave stories from her own family as well as local history to give great colour and context to the delicious food we got to try. Highly recommend!

Ale was a fantastic tour guide - knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The tour was a great experience trying a wide variety of foods that we would never have found on our own. Would absolutely recommend to any visitor, particularly those who don’t speak Spanish. Tons of delicious food, so bring your appetite!

My husband and I took this tour on our last day in Valladolid and we wish we did it sooner!! This was the absolute best way to learn more about the history and culture of Valladolid and the incredible food it has to offer. Carlos took us to a lot of really amazing hidden gems, all street food that had an abundance of flavor and carts we would have never known to stop at. The food was so delicious and getting to walk to town city and get to know Carlos was really special. We would recommend this a thousand times over - just do it at the beginning of your trip so you can go back to the food spots they show you during your visit!! They’re worth repeating.

My wife and I wanted to experience local flavours and foods like a local would. We booked with The Lost Taco and it exceeded our expectations! Our host Carlos along with Ali were knowledgeable and friendly! I loved that we got to learn about the history and culture behind the food and how it was prepared while enjoying it. We were taken to spots we probably would have over looked just walking around ourselves. If you’re looking to have some amazing food and get to know Valladolid more I would highly recommend this tour! ⭐️

The experience was "filling". lol Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it to anyone in the area or make it a day trip. The food with the background of the meal was encourage our group to purchase ingredientes and attempt.
