La Piazza Bra est le centre de la vie sociale de Vérone. La place est dominée par la majestueuse Arena et par le Palazzo Barbieri, l'Hôtel de Ville. De là, il est également possible de voir le Palazzo Gran Guardia et le Musée Lapidario.
Cet incroyable amphithéâtre romain a été construit au 1er siècle après JC. Le nom « arène » fait référence au sable qui recouvrait la scène où combattaient les gladiateurs. Aujourd'hui, il est toujours utilisé pour des spectacles publics et des concerts.
La place des Herbes est l’ancien forum romain de la ville. Au centre de la place, vous pouvez voir la fontaine de la Madone de Vérone, un monument représentant la ville comme une belle femme. Aujourd'hui, la place est un lieu de rencontre important pour les habitants, jeunes et vieux.
La Maison de Juliette est un incontournable pour tous les visiteurs de la ville qui souhaitent découvrir le côté romantique de Vérone. Datant de la fin du XIIIe siècle, cette maison-tour présente un bas-relief représentant un chapeau qui, selon la tradition, serait le blason de la famille Capulet. Nous nous arrêterons dehors dans le jardin, sans entrer.
Également appelée Piazza Dante, en raison de la statue dédiée au poète italien le plus important, la Piazza dei Signori est encadrée par divers bâtiments importants, tels que le Palazzo della Ragione et le Palazzo Podestà. C'est ici que vous direz au revoir à votre guide.

He's deeply knowledgeable, articulate (with easy to understand English), and just solid in every way. Through the entire tour he wove together fascinating history of this city with countless recommendations of restaurants and gelateria. He truly helped us fall in love with Verona. This was our first trip to Verona. We were staying in Bologna. We arrived in about 1 hour. A tour guide Alessandro could not have been more pleasant, engaging and very knowledgeable. Because he was born in Verona, he knew much about the history and all the hidden gems along the city. He also had great recommendations for restaurants. Verona is a beautiful city and I would highly recommend a guided tour with Alessandro.
