Participez à l'excursion d'une journée à Uzungöl au départ de Trabzon à 10h00, avec prise en charge à votre hôtel ou aux points de rendez-vous désignés en fonction de votre préférence de réservation. Notre premier arrêt est le célèbre atelier de couteaux de Sürmene, où vous pourrez voir l'artisanat traditionnel et magasiner des produits locaux, avant de continuer vers Uzungöl. Nous nous déplaçons pour Uzungol Tour et faisons notre première visite à une courte pause shopping à Sürmene Knife Factory Outlet sur la route.
Tout en continuant notre route, nous nous arrêtons également dans une usine de thé en cours de route. Ici, le personnel de l'usine explique le processus de production du thé et partage des idées sur l'infusion du meilleur thé, vous donnant un aperçu de plus près de l'une des traditions les plus importantes de la région de la mer Noire.
Le voyage se poursuit le long de la côte de la mer Noire jusqu'à la ville d'Of, avant de bifurquer vers l'intérieur des terres en direction de la pittoresque vallée de Solaklı. Entouré de maisons de village traditionnelles sur des collines abruptes, de plantations de thé et de jardins de noisetiers, arrivez à Uzungöl, l'une des destinations les plus populaires de Trabzon, située à 1 090 mètres d'altitude et connue pour ses forêts denses et son paysage spectaculaire. Visitez la terrasse d'observation d'Uzungöl pour une vue panoramique du lac, suivie de la cascade artificielle, construite pour protéger le lac des inondations. Après ces visites, profitez de temps libre à Uzungöl jusqu'à 16h00 pour explorer la région à votre rythme, vous détendre dans les cafés au bord du lac ou simplement profiter de l'environnement naturel. À la fin d'une agréable journée, retour à Trabzon avec des souvenirs impérissables d'Uzungöl.

Zenofon Tours was very organized and communicative (both through TripAdvisor and WhatsApp), which I appreciated very much. They agreed to pick us up at our hotel which was close to downtown but not technically on their list, so I appreciated that they agreed to do that for us. They also provided water. There were only four of us on the tour, and we had a driver only, not a driver and a guide, and the driver spoke a bit of English but didn't really accompany us or explain things very much, just kind of dropped us off and expected we would know what to do. First we stopped at a tourist shop that sold knives, which would have been a waste of time in my opinion if it hadn't been for the guy playing kerence and some wonderful Turkish elder ladies who started dancing. Then we went to the tea factory which was very cool (I really like tea) but the guys at the factory don't speak English, only Turkish (and possibly Arabic?) - thankfully one of my fellow travelers knew enough Turkish and English to fill us in. The drive to Uzungol was gorgeous and the view was stunning but there wasn't really anywhere to hike. The walk around the lake takes about 30-45 mins and was PACKED full of people so it was hard to walk freely. Maybe it would be less crowded in fall or spring. The viewing platform had a nice view but I think they could cut out the stop at the "waterfall" (aka a concrete dam-like structure that was only a few meters high) and just give us more time at the lake. The stop for lunch was a beautiful restaurant by the Black Sea but it ended up being VERY late in the day (3-4PM). The restaurant was on the pricier side and had a mandatory 10% service fee, but the view was absolutely gorgeous so I forgave it. Overall we're glad we did it.
