Description
Profitez d'une journée de détente et découverte, dans le confort de notre van luxe, climatisé avec intérieur cuir, et électrique. Votre guide personnel profitera du trajet pour vous raconter l’une des plus anciennes régions viticoles de France, déjà exploitée par les Romains. Vous découvrirez les magnifiques vignobles de la rive droite de la Garonne, et les châteaux qui font la renommée de ces appellations. Les visites ont été réservées pour vous dans des domaines de Saint-Emilion ou de Pomerol. Arrivés aux châteaux, vous serez pris en charge pour une visite commentée des chais, des vignes, du cuvier... Une dégustation des vins du domaine vous sera proposée, à la fin de chacune des 3 visites. Vous serez initié aux techniques de dégustations, qui feront découvrir à votre nez et vos papilles des sensations insoupçonnées.... Les ruelles pavées s'offriront ensuite à vous, et vous vous émerveillerez devant les trésors de Saint-Émilion, et l'héritage de son si célèbre moine.

Dès la sortie de Bordeaux, vous découvrirez la campagne verdoyante, et la multitude de parcelles de vignes aux noms évocateurs. D’abord les parcelles de l’Entre-Deux-Mers entre Garonne et Dordogne, puis les appellations du Libournais, Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol, Fronsac, et enfin Saint-Émilion et ses appellations satellites, Montagne-Saint-Émilion, Saint-Georges Saint-Émilion, Lussac Saint-Émilion, Puisseguin Saint-Émilion. Vous aurez plaisir à découvrir ces châteaux au milieu des vignes. Vous serez charmé par la beauté de ce patrimoine, qui depuis la Révolution Française, n’a eu cesse de se bonifier.
Nous vous emmènerons visiter un des magnifiques châteaux qui font la renommée des vins de Saint-Emilion. Cépages, égrappage, cuvaison, fermentation, collage... vous saurez tout sur la vinification, les différents cépages utilisés et les vins d’assemblage. Vous pourrez voir que le modernisme des chais d’aujourd’hui se marie à merveille avec des techniques de travail ancestrales afin de donner naissance, chaque année à de merveilleux millésimes, ayant toujours un tempérament affirmé. Le château Franc-Mayne, en vous permettant de visiter le plateau calcaire depuis l’intérieur vous donnera les clés pour comprendre les notes minérales des Grands Crus de Saint-Emilion. Cette visite sera conclue par une dégustation des vins de la propriété. Au cours de cette dégustation il vous sera donné de précieux conseils de garde, pour vos futurs achats de vins de Saint-Émilion. Le château est donné à titre d'exemple. Visite du village de Saint-Émilion Au cours de votre programme, vous découvrirez à travers les ruelles pavées pleine de charme, le joli petit village médiéval de Saint-Emilion. Votre guide vous contera les nombreuses anecdotes et péripéties de sa longue et tumultueuse histoire. Vous découvrirez combien la pratique religieuse et la vigne sont mêlées et se complètent l’une et l’autre. Vous revivrez l'histoire de France, qui a fait de ce village, un site exceptionnel classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. Vous ne résisterez pas à sortir vos appareils photo pour garder un souvenir de ces panoramas enchanteurs.
Le déjeuner vous sera proposé dans un charmant restaurant, au milieu des vignes, tout proche de Saint-Emilion. La cuisine française traditionnelle du restaurant vous ravira. . Le restaurant est donné à titre d'exemple. Il est susceptible de changer, selon les disponibilités.
Ce n’est pas un mais deux châteaux que vous visiterez ici. 2 styles, 2 ambiances et une vue à couper le souffle. Et dégustation à la fin de la visite bien-sûr. Le château est donné à titre d'exemple. Le château visité est susceptible de changer, selon les disponibilités des domaines.
Pour cette dernière visite, c’est l’appellation Pomerol que vous découvrirez. Ce château est la propriété d’une des plus emblématiques familles de l’appellation. Wonderful, personal experience We were looking for a comfortable, personal experience rather than a large group tour. Catherine's communication was great and helpful, and that got the day off to a good start. As we drove to St. Emilion, Catherine gave us detailed information about the region and wine classifications. The tour included 3 wineries, where Bacchus has long-term relationships, as well as a go around the town and lunch. We were warmly welcomed and our needs were accommodated graciously.
Very nice tour of the St-Émilion. Catherine is a very knowledgeable guide to everything related to Bordeaux vineyards, and we were able to appreciate a lot of information she gave us while traveling the region. In the 3 vineyards visited, his personal contacts with the local team make us feel welcomed, and we visits offer the opportunity to appreciate all the work in the making of these delicious wines. The winemakers themselves are not greedy with comments and know how to make us appreciate the visit. The sites chosen are small in scale, quite different from those "industrial" visits that can be found in larger areas. Recommended!
Great day in St Emilion and tastings at 3 wineries. Great fun and conversation with both Catherine and Hugo, we were a small group of 4 but alll needs catered for plus a fantastic lunch.........amazing duck! :) You could see the relationship Catherine had with the respective wineries and guides so always felt we were getting great service and tours. As the group split due to participants travel deadlines, myself any my wife had the chance to walk around St Emilion village then travel back to Bordeaux with Hugo........very interesting and relaxing experience and what a car! My wife and I had a great day touring Saint-Emilion with Hugo (29 August 2024). What was originally booked as a small group tour ended up being a private tour for the day, which just added to the experience. The only downside was that it was a rainy day; but, a rainy day touring Bordeaux is still a great day! We would definitely use Bacchus Tours again... just need to start planning the next visit. We also had a very nice tour of the Medoc with Catherine, the following day, but that's another review...

I booked a 2 day package with Catherine and Hugo and it was amazing! We spent one day on left bank and one on the right and they took care of every detail. Lunches were incredible and the schedule was well paced. Do not hesitate to book with them if you are traveling to Bordeaux.
