Le trait important Wat Lokayasutharam est une énorme image de Bouddha couchée, appelée Phra Bhuddhasaiyart, qui fait face à l'est. Il a été construit en briques et en ciment dans le style artistique de la période du milieu Ayutthaya. Il mesure 37 mètres de long et 8 mètres de haut. Il existe d'autres images impressionnantes de Bouddha couché à Ayutthaya, mais cela semble être le plus grand.
Ce monastère était le temple le plus important de Ayutthaya et situé dans l'enceinte du Grand Palais
Wat Mahathat était l’un des temples les plus importants d’Ayutthaya. Il enregistrait les reliques du Bouddha et était le siège du patriarche suprême du bouddhisme et donc le centre du bouddhisme dans le royaume d'Ayutthaya.
En 1957, la crypte du Wat Ratchaburana a été pillée et de nombreux artefacts précieux, tels que des tablettes votives, des costumes royaux dorés, des gemmes et des images de Bouddha, ont été volés. Les voleurs ont été attrapés et une partie des trésors ont été récupérés. Un an plus tard, le département des beaux-arts commença les fouilles et la restauration du temple. De nombreux autres objets inestimables ont été découverts qui sont maintenant exposés à proximité
Le musée porte le nom de Chao Sam Phraya, roi d’Ayutthaya au XVe siècle. Plusieurs milliers d'objets sont exposés, notamment des images de Bouddha, des tablettes votives, des artefacts en or et d'autres trésors récupérés dans les cryptes de plusieurs temples.
Wat Chaiwatthanaram a été construit en 1630 par le roi Prasat Thong. C'était l'un des plus grands monuments du royaume d'Ayutthaya. Le roi a construit le temple comme moyen de gagner du mérite bouddhiste et comme mémorial à sa mère. Ses cendres sont enchâssées dans deux chedis carrés encadrant l'ubosot du côté est du temple.

Great experience! We booked with Phi Phi Brazuca, who helped us in the doubts and details, and the tour was guided by Mindy, Wonderful guide Thao, with impeccable English and veryoo knowledge to share. Ayutthaya is beautiful, and tells the oldest history, unlike the other temples of Bangkok, worth the experience as well. At the end, lunch full and very tasty. Super we indicate!
