Le massacre de Srebrenica, également appelé génocide de Srebrenica, était le génocide de juillet 1995 de plus de 8 000 Bosniaques, principalement des hommes et des garçons, dans et autour de la ville de Srebrenica pendant la guerre de Bosnie. Les meurtres ont été perpétrés par des unités de l'armée des Serbes de Bosnie de la Republika Srpska (VRS) sous le commandement de Ratko Mladić. Vous serez en mesure de comprendre la chute de la Yougoslavie, comment et pourquoi le massacre a eu lieu.

La ville de Srebrenica est située à environ deux heures et demie de la ville de Sarajevo. Pendant que vous êtes en mesure de profiter du paysage, nous entamerons notre présentation par des histoires détaillées, classées par ordre chronologique afin de vous permettre de comprendre un sujet complexe des "guerres yougoslaves", qui est crucial pour votre compréhension du génocide de Srebrenica. Notre premier arrêt est en face de l'usine de batteries, utilisée par les forces de l'ONU pendant la guerre en Bosnie. Dans l'ancien quartier général du bataillon néerlandais, se trouve aujourd'hui l'un des musées les plus modernes de Bosnie-Herzégovine, le «Musée du génocide de Srebrenica». Nous y rencontrerons le conservateur et vivrons une histoire de première main sur la survie dans l'enclave de Srebrenica. Museum est doté d'installations multimédia avec sélection de films, qui vous aideront à comprendre les événements qui ont conduit au pire massacre en Europe depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Du musée du génocide de Srebrenica, nous continuons à la salle Memorial, où vous pourrez entendre les récits des victimes qui ont été faits par un journaliste local. Les victimes trouvées et identifiées reposent au cimetière Memorial. Une fois que nous avons visité le centre commémoratif de Potocari, nous continuons notre voyage vers la ville de Srebrenica. Autrefois, le chef de file industriel de la région était devenu une ville fantôme. Srebrenica est également le lieu du déjeuner, car il n’ya pas beaucoup de restaurants à proximité du centre commémoratif de Potocari.

Kenan was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best possible experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his local knowledge really added something special to the trip. He took the time to explain the places we visited, answered all our questions and made us feel completely comfortable throughout. He was punctual, patient and incredibly helpful, and we never felt rushed at any point. What really stood out was the personal attention he gave us. A visit to Srebrenica is essential to understand what happened there in July 1995. You visit the memorial and the interpretation center-museum, located in the old warehouses where the Dutchbat troops were stationed, in Potočari, right in front of the memorial. All the documentary information about those tragic events is there. Regarding the visit, there is a flaw in what is offered versus reality: it is true that they pick you up and drop you off at the hotel (in our case, Kenan was the guide). But no water or snacks are offered, nor were we in a vehicle with a Wi-Fi connection, just as is advertised. In short, the visit is a must so as not to forget how far human evil can go.
Great tour, very emotional and informative. A must when in Bosnia! Kenan was an amazing guide. He answered all our questions and even gave us recommendations on where to go in Sarajevo. Highly recommended!

Keenan was a very considerate and knowledgable host. He answered any questions we had fully. It’s quite a difficult trip but we felt it was important to be aware and pay our respects to the fallen.
The museum was located at the former UN Dutch Battalion Headquarters. The exhibition is well designed. Worth a visit if you are interested to learn about the atrocities that took place in July 1995. A special thanks to our guide Kenan, who is very helpful and happy to answer all our questions.
It was a great experience, with good knowledge from the tour guide. I did have to contact the tour operator to confirm my pick-up location. Overall, a recommended trip.
