Le premier arrêt de la journée sera à Erldunda (domicile de l'émeu) où vous pourrez acheter le petit-déjeuner.

Nous visiterons ensuite le centre culturel autochtone où vous aurez le temps de vous renseigner sur les habitants de Pitjantjatjara et d'acheter des souvenirs. Le centre culturel a été construit avec 90 000 briques de boue avec l'aide des Anangu locaux. Il est construit sur un site sacré et revêt une signification toute particulière pour le peuple Anangu.
Nous nous dirigeons ensuite vers la base d'Uluru (Ayers Rock), qui se trouve à côté de l'entrée de la montée d'Uluru. De là, l'un des deux guides vous emmènera dans une promenade guidée de Mala. La Mala Walk suit le côté nord-ouest d'Uluru, où se trouvent de nombreux beaux exemples d'art rupestre d'Anangu, et vous pourrez découvrir les merveilles des parois verticales abruptes. Le guide racontera les histoires du peuple Anangu pendant le temps du rêve. Nous conduisons depuis l'avant d'Uluru jusqu'au parking Kuniya, qui se trouve à l'arrière d'Uluru. De là, nous commençons notre deuxième promenade guidée d'Uluru jusqu'au point d'eau de Mutitjulu. Le guide vous emmènera le long d'une courte piste jusqu'au point d'eau de Mutitjulu, domicile d'un serpent d'eau ancestral appelé Wanampi. Le guide partagera des histoires sur les traditions locales et expliquera comment le peuple Anangu utilisait traditionnellement le point d'eau pour chasser. Les grottes contenant de l'art rupestre étaient utilisées autrefois par Anangu encore vivant aujourd'hui.
Le décor est planté, le point culminant de la journée, le coucher de soleil à couper le souffle sur Uluru avec un verre de champagne (ou de bière BYO) et un délicieux barbecue australien. Une journée spectaculaire à ne jamais oublier. Après le coucher du soleil, nous partons pour Alice Springs. Ou si vous terminez la visite à Ayers Rock Resort, vous serez déposé à Outback Pioneer après le coucher du soleil.

Overall tour and operators were good and provided good information. Problem was in the bus used for the tour, thus was well below acceptable for the price paid. Bus was old and needed to be replaced- overhead lights did not work, AC ventilation only partially worked and virtually not at all in the back, USB phone ports were working in only 30% of seats, and to top it off the bus thermostat died in the way back to the hotel and we took an extra 1.5hours to limp back at 50 mph and limped back into Alice Springs. Viatour needs to verify conditions if busses used by contracted companies. Would not recommend this tour until Viatour does this.

Coach was reasonably modern ( with toilet) though the usb charging ports were mostly broken The driver who took us from Alice to Yulara and back was a good driver but otherwise only gave “satisfactory” guidance. The guide/driver (Yad) who took over at Yulara & looked after us for most of the day at/around Uluṟu was excellent. BBQ dinner was great opportunity for Uluṟu sunset photos & chat with fellow travellers. But the drive from Alice to Yulara/ Uluṟu is very long ( almost 5 hours each way with toilet stops ) . Not the fault of the tour company but you must be willing & prepared for this. On the way to Yulara the scenery is beautiful but going back at night……

Great trip. Long day ( 16 hours), but seats were comfortable and they had a good schedule for seeing sights, food breaks, and restroom visits. The drivers/ guides Andy and Gary were excellent. BBQ dinner and drinks were good and we got nice pics of sunset over Uluru. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we had bus problems and had to wait almost 3 hours for a replacement bus 1.5 hours before reaching Uluru. Because of that, we only had a very short time at Uluru, which was a shame. They should have maintained the bus better or used the newer bus right away. Uluru is definitely worth it. I then sent an email the next day asking if I could receive a small partial compensation; there has been no response so far, which I find very unprofessional. I take many such day trips, and fortunately, I have not experienced anything like this before.

Be prepared for 10 hours bus trip Alice Springs to Uluru return. Andy (driver) was safe. Gary (guide) was offhand, abrupt, didn't wait for everyone to join at sites before talking. Tour does not include Kata tjuta (The Olgas) despite photos in the description. These photos should be deleted as they are misleading. ***You need to pre-purchase a park pass for AUD 38 per person (it's a 3 day pass, even though the tour is one day). It would help travellers if this was made clear in the description***

It's all in the itinerary. It's a wonderful and respectful way to experience Uluru and understand some of the stories they have. They team I was with Andy ( our driver) and Yad ( our tour guide) were knowledgeable and respectful. Andy made sure we got both there and back safe, waiting to make sure we all made it back into the gates or reception area of our accommodation, when we were back in Alice Springs, before departing. Yad was knowledgeable and experienced with many stories to tell and made us all comfortable and helped us understand the area. They and the team at Uluru cooked us a feast and the food and drinks were both delicious and classics. So glad I picked this experience.
Long trip in uncomfortable bus. Owners should remove 2 rows of seats and provide more leg room for such a long trip. Fortunately bus was not full. If it was, it would have been awful. Beware of park entrance fee. It is clearly not included. $38 AUD for a 1-3 day pass is excessive and should be clearly defined! In retrospect I would not have chosen this tour.. Once arriving at town, everything was rushed. Sadly. I Do not recommend.for the price and comfort level in bus.
The bus ride portion of the tour double dipped for their shuttle service from Alice Springs to Uluru. This isn’t that big of a problem except my partner and I had to sit separately with random people for a 5 hour bus ride… Also, the bathroom was not available for most of our day tour. The tour itself was great! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and helped educate us on the cultural importance of Uluru to the First Nations people. Be warned that the flies were no joke and the bug repellent does not do much. I’d recommend a fly net to go over your face and wear lightweight long sleeves/pants. We went in June, which is their winter. I can’t imagine what it’s like when the weather is warmer.
It is such a long trip to get there and was a little disappointing. I thought there would be more hiking. The food at the BBQ was OK. The beverages were fine but the glasses were dirty. We had a cloudy day so the sunset wasn't as nice.
