Notre voyage commence par une collation en bord de rue et une bière fraîche à déguster en route vers la rue de la restauration de rue la plus animée de Siem Reap.
Nous nous dirigerons ensuite vers Angkor Wat où nous nous arrêterons et nous immergerons dans les saveurs exotiques des fruits tropicaux et, pour les plus aventureux, dégusterons des délices insolites dans une rue de restauration de rue locale.
Nous nous dirigeons ensuite vers notre stand de bord de route familial préféré pour savourer deux plats cambodgiens par excellence, un équilibre parfait entre sucré, acide, salé et épicé.
Ensuite, nous nous aventurons dans une ruelle cachée jusqu’au lieu de prédilection de notre chauffeur de tuk-tuk, où vous dégusterez un plat unique que l’on trouve uniquement au Cambodge. C’est un plat que vous n’avez probablement jamais essayé !
En revenant en ville, nous nous arrêtons dans un stand animé au bord de la rue, sur le chemin devant une pagode locale, juste au moment où ils s'installent pour accueillir la foule nocturne. Ici, nous allons essayer deux plats emblématiques qui ont valu à cet endroit sa réputation d'excellence.
Notre voyage se poursuit au cœur de la ville touristique, où nous vous présenterons un stand local populaire connu pour ses côtes de porc fumées et appétissantes servies au bord de la rivière.
Pour notre dernier délice culinaire, nous nous dirigeons vers un restaurant animé dans une rue commerçante remplie de locaux, où nous nous régalerons de succulents fruits de mer accompagnés de notre célèbre poivre de Kampot.
Terminez votre soirée dans une oasis de jardin cachée, en sirotant un cocktail créatif ou un mocktail inspiré des saveurs locales cambodgiennes. Don't miss this! It was an unforgettable evening full of delicious authentic Cambodian food outside the typical touristy places. On my own I never would have tried or even found pretty much any of the dishes (grilled skewered stuffed frog for example or soup with snails). And you left absolutely stuffed as well, since there were so many tastings. Miss Hong, my guide, was so friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and really made the whole night fun. I learned so much both about Cambodian food and culture. Our driver was also amazing—very safe and kept me comfortable the entire time. Top notch organisation as well. I booked the tour last minute through the website and it worked our great. The company contacted me immediately and was very responsive. They even ran the tour even though I was the only participant

Our tour started with a tranquil gondola trip on the lovely lake outside Angkor with Sarath. It then went up a gear as we headed to a night market by Tuk Tuk where we sampled excellent street food navigated with enthusiasm by Sarath. From there we went to a number of local restaurants serving a variety of dishes introduced with gusto by our guide Sarath. Our tour ended at the splendid Wild cocktail bar, a lovely venue with drinks to match. All the while Sarath imparted her take on Cambodian life with a level of sparkling enthusiasm which we won’t forget.

Our progressive degustation experience in Siem Reap with Urban Forage was nothing short of exceptional. I booked a midweek food tour as a solo traveller and it was the best decision I made. I was the only one on the tour so my guide Rorm made sure to tailor the experience and really brought the food to life with passion and stories behind each dish. My Tuktuk driver was also incredibly kind, informative and helpful making it even more fun. We tried a variety of dishes, I was appreciative of the amount of food and knowledge of Khmer culture and experience. I felt welcome even as a barang…. Great value for money and I’d highly recommend to those solo travelling or in groups.

Our guide Rorm was great. So kind and knowledgeable about the culture and food. He took some detours to give us a special experience. The highlight was trying durian and stuffed frog. The food was plentiful and interesting and the tuk tuk was very fun.

I've done food tours in at least 10 other countries before and nothing comes close to the range of food and the experience on this tour. Come with an empty stomach and a (very) open mind and you will not be disappointed (no spoilers lol). Hong was a fantastic 10/10 guide, knowledgeable and immensely passionate about her culture and eating - exactly the energy this kind of tour needs.
