Notre Twilight Tour a été créé pour les enfants d'âge primaire supérieur - ceux qui sont prêts pour des questions plus approfondies, une pensée critique et une curiosité pour les "et si". Comme notre Spooky Tour, nous nous concentrons sur l'histoire réelle, les récits documentés et les expériences réelles vécues lors des tournées. Cependant, le Twilight Tour creuse plus profondément que le Spooky Tour. Les histoires sont plus détaillées avec plus d'opportunités d'interagir avec le royaume des esprits. La visite est interactive - les enfants ne seront jamais mis dans l'embarras mais encouragés à essayer quelque chose de nouveau, quelque chose qu'ils n'oublieront pas de sitôt. La Nouvelle-Orléans est une ville magique et mystérieuse. Lors de cette visite pour les enfants de 8 à 12 ans, ils partiront intrigués, enchantés et peut-être un peu effrayés. Notre visite est unique car adaptée aux enfants : pas de violence, pas de gore, ni de sujets et de langage "adultes". Nous le gardons propre !

La visite commence au vieux couvent des Ursulines où les familles découvriront les religieuses Ursulines et leur rôle essentiel dans le sauvetage de la colonie d'un certain malheur. Ils entendront parler des filles du cercueil, envoyées ici pour épouser les jeunes colons, mais qui auraient apporté à la colonie un peu plus que leurs robes de mariée...
L'histoire de ce manoir a suffisamment attiré Nicholas Cage pour acheter la maison et suffisamment Hollywood pour créer une histoire d'horreur américaine basée sur celle-ci. Les familles entendront ce qui s'est passé ici (version adaptée aux enfants !!) - ainsi que comment la vérité a été apprise. Des hantises à travers les siècles et sur les tournées passées seront partagées, ainsi qu'une tentative de communication avec Madame Lalaurie...
Nous enseignerons aux familles la famille d'immigrants irlandais / créoles qui a vécu ici - et y est décédée - au 19ème siècle. Les rituels de deuil de cette ville catholique, à l'époque victorienne, seront explorés avec des antiquités hantées que les enfants pourront voir - et conserver (s'ils osent !) * Nous n'entrons pas à l'intérieur ici mais c'est un musée qui vaut vraiment le détour !!
Dans cette boutique, les familles découvriront Lafitte, le pirate le plus puissant de la Nouvelle-Orléans au XIXe siècle. Ils entendront parler de certaines de ses hantises bien connues ici, ainsi que de celles vécues lors de tournées passées. Les enfants pourront utiliser un outil de détection de fantômes pour mesurer toute présence d'esprits. (Les adultes peuvent entrer pendant que nous sommes arrêtés ici.)
Nous terminerons la visite ici, en découvrant notre célèbre prêtresse vaudou, Marie Laveau. Les familles découvriront l'histoire du vaudou à la Nouvelle-Orléans, son lien avec l'Afrique de l'Ouest et Haïti. Les reliques de voyages en Haïti et les musées vaudous seront bien partagées. Les enfants découvriront et créeront également un sac gris-gris basé sur des recherches historiques. *Nous n'entrons pas à l'intérieur du musée mais nous encourageons les familles à visiter !!

This was a fun experience for the 8 year old. The history of the Quarter and the spooky tragedies that occurred were taught in a great way that helped look beyond the surface of the buildings. Well done.

We took the Twilight Tour with two 10-year-olds and two adults and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We've taken standard ghost tours before which resulted in our kids being too afraid to sleep for a few nights, and this tour was PERFECT in terms of what was shared. It was spooky but not scary, and the kids were engaged the whole time. There were great stories and history shared, and the highlight for our kids was getting to use various tools (EMF meters, infrared thermometers) to look for ghosts. Highly recommend this tour and this company for tweens!
This tour was so much fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was a total pro at keeping my kids' attention. There were hands-on activities to really grab their attention, and a mild amount of walking that was easy and fun. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful Twilight Tour with Tammy. My husband and I brought our 11-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter. Our son and as nervous to start with considering the spooky theme, but our daughter was all in. Tammy is very knowledgeable about the New Orleans area having grown up there and with her family going back several generations there. She is also a middle school science teacher. She wove fascinating and historical stories that were intriguing to kids and adults alike. She also has great energy and enthusiasm, and is good with kids. I won't spoil all the details, but parts of the tour are very hands on including ghost hunting and communicating. Our son eventually warmed up to the experience and became more involved towards the end. Our 8-year-old daughter stayed engaged the whole time, although she likely wasn't paying attention to all the historical details like our son was. If your kids are able to focus to some degree and have an interest in the supernatural, definitely give this tour a try!
I’ve lived in New Orleans for 18 years and have never experienced a tour so inclusive and interactive. Tammy was the perfect tour guide and can’t wait to go back for more tours ✨🤍🙌🏽👻
We took the Twilight Tour- Hauntings for Tweens (8-12 y.o) with our 11 year old. I could definitely see how kids on the younger span of the age recommendation would enjoy this. However, with an 11 year old, she thought the tour was stupid. The stories were not detailed enough and engaging enough. We should have done an adult tour. So, if you have kids on the younger spectrum, it might be more fun for them but if they lean older, then this is probably too "babyish" for them. We would have enjoyed more detailed story-telling and more facts/history.

However, as a result of your review, we are revamping our hiring requirements, training procedures, requisite knowledge, and incorporation of historical context. This was one of our favorite things we did on our trip! MC was fabulous! She kept the kids entertained as well as the adults…she even had ghost detectors for the kids to use! It was a blast! A must do!

MC was a great guide, storyteller and teacher. Our kids enjoyed the overall experience though it felt a little too juvenile for our almost 12 year old.
The Twilight Tour with Mary Carol was, according to our 7 and 10 year olds, the highlight of our NOLA vacation. The whole family was captivated by the history and completely engaged. The ghost hunting gadgets made all the difference!
