Votre visite de ce site archéologique incroyable commence juste à côté du parking, où le chemin vers les ruines commence. De là, vous suivrez simplement ce chemin pour découvrir une ruine ancienne et fascinante. REMARQUE : La visite dure plus de 1,5 miles, avec plus de 28 histoires audio, et prend environ 1 à 2 heures à compléter. Nouveau, Accès à vie, pas d'expiration. Le premier point de repère majeur que vous rencontrerez est la Casa Cenote. Vous franchirez l'entrée et vous vous retrouverez dans un tout autre monde.
À notre gauche se trouve la Platforma Funeraria, où les anciens Mayas effectuaient leurs rites funéraires. Avant d'enterrer ou d'incinérer un corps, les Mayas mettaient du maïs dans leur bouche. Cela leur servait de nourriture pour leur voyage vers l'autre monde, mais représentait également la vie et la renaissance.
Impossible de manquer la prochaine étape, El Castillo. Debout à 40 pieds, le château a été construit pour honorer le dieu maya Kukulkan et se dresse à la plus haute altitude de Tulum, ce qui rend la structure déjà imposante encore plus frappante.
En continuant à marcher, vous verrez le temple des fresques, réputé pour ses peintures détaillées de diverses divinités mayas.
Ensuite, vous visiterez le Temple du Vent, l'une des structures les plus intéressantes de Tulum. Le temple se trouve au sommet d'une falaise et a été construit pour servir d'avertissement de l'approche des tempêtes. Les plates-formes rondes vues ici indiquent qu'il s'agit d'un temple dédié au dieu du vent.
Le génie de l'architecture maya est incarné dans ce bâtiment, la Maison de Chultun. Ici, la récupération des eaux de pluie garantissait que les habitants de Tulum disposaient de suffisamment d'eau douce pour tous leurs besoins. Le bâtiment est structuré de manière à ce que l'eau de pluie s'écoule dans le réservoir.
Si vous regardez attentivement, vous pouvez voir qu'il y a un réseau complexe de trous dans le temple. Lorsque des vents de la force d'un ouragan soufflent en provenance des Caraïbes, les trous commencent à siffler bruyamment et fonctionnent comme un système d'alerte efficace.
Continuez ensuite au-delà du quai et arrêtez-vous devant les ruines d'une maison sur la droite. Il s'agit de la Casa del Noreste, ou la Maison du Nord-Ouest. Cette maison aurait abrité des membres importants de la société maya.
Des figurines du dieu descendant ou Vénus maya sont placées dans des niches sur la façade principale du temple, reflétant le travail des artisans de l'époque maya. Le « dieu descendant » se manifeste sous la forme d'une figure en stuc sur le mur ouest du temple situé dans l'enceinte centrale du site, ce qui donne au temple son nom de « Temple du dieu descendant ».

First off got scammed by a chicklet toothed local. Wouldn't accept the ticket we purchased so we had to drive back go the area we purchased it at. Eventually we got into the park. After hearing how “beautiful” it was I had a bit of hope…. NOPE! Totally desolate unkept area. Absolutely zero effort into making it a complete gem( which is an total loss to the country) not sure why there is so much garbage and unkept areas in a place that could be majestic!
This review appears to be unrelated to my self-guided audio tour product. My Tulum Mayan Ruins GPS Walking Audio Tour is a digital audio guide, and it does not include park entry, ticket validation, or interaction with local vendors. Your comments focus on issues with a local person, ticket acceptance, and the condition of the Tulum site itself, but do not mention the audio, narration, route guidance, app functionality, or overall tour experience. Because of this, it seems the review is about the attraction and third-party entry issues rather than my tour. I’m also not able to locate a booking under this name. If you did use my tour, I would genuinely like to hear about your experience with it.
Good app and easy to download. We found it best to download when we had wifi and then log out of it (even switch off the phone to remove the blue quick open button top left) so that it didn’t use up all our battery power. Best to take a separate power bank in case your phone runs low. Sometimes the section didn’t play, probably more to do with us not being in the right spot, but easy enough to just click on the list and tap it manually. Really liked the voice of the narrator and the helpful photos.

This is an excellent option as you can go at your own pace. Since it tracks your location, the narration keeps quiet and lets you go off-route and stay as long as you want at different spots. It starts with the narration when you return to the route. People who went with guides felt rushed through the tour because the human guide wanted to be done and get back to the start to meet other groups.

This app was a great find! Lots of interesting info and a good intro to Mayan history and culture, before and after encounter with the Spanish. Allows you to explore at your own pace and really enjoy the ruins and the scenic location. In my view, the best way to explore Tulum ruins! Ppl kept asking us where we got the app!

I highly recommend this app! In my opinion, this is the best way to explore the Tulum ruins. The app gives you a good introduction to Mayan history and culture before and after encounter with the Spanish, and gives you details about each spot in the ruins. The audio description pops up as you approach the next stop on the map. If it doesn’t, it’s easy to pull up the map and see where you are then click on the appropriate description. Allows you to explore at your own pace at a great price!
