Casa Carbonell, un bâtiment moderniste construit dans les années 1920. Selon la légende, il aurait été commandé par un industriel du textile après avoir été humilié par son apparence humble à son arrivée d'Alcoy pendant une épidémie.
L'hôtel de ville d'Alicante, construit au XVIIIe siècle, est un exemple marquant du baroque civil valencien. Sa façade principale présente deux tours symétriques qui encadrent le bâtiment. Dans la tour de gauche se trouve l'horloge, qui utilise le chiffre romain « IIII » au lieu du « IV » habituel, une convention courante en horlogerie qui remonte aux traditions historiques.
Autrefois, cette place était connue sous le nom de place des Potences, car c'était le lieu où avaient lieu les exécutions publiques. Situé à côté de l'ancienne muraille et de l'une de ses portes principales, c'était un point stratégique pour punir la population : les exécutions étaient effectuées à la vue de tous ceux qui entraient ou sortaient de la ville.
Cette place, autrefois connue sous le nom de Plaza de las Barcas, doit son nom actuel au célèbre écrivain alicantin Gabriel Miró, dont la statue préside l'espace depuis 1929. C'est un lieu avec une grande valeur sentimentale pour les habitants d'Alicante et une oasis d'ombre et de tranquillité au cœur de la ville.
Cette rue piétonne est devenue célèbre pour sa décoration avec de gros champignons colorés, une intervention artistique qui l'a transformée en une icône pour enfants et pour la photographie.
Ouvert en 1847, le Théâtre Principal est le cœur culturel d'Alicante. Sa façade néoclassique aux colonnes ioniques est l'une des icônes architecturales de la ville.
Ce quartier pittoresque, niché sur les pentes du mont Benacantil, conserve le tracé mauresque des rues étroites, des maisons blanchies à la chaux et des escaliers raides.
C'est le plus ancien temple de la ville, construit sur une ancienne mosquée après la Reconquista. Sa façade gothique et ses détails baroques témoignent de son évolution au fil des siècles.
Situé au sommet du mont Benacantil, ce château est une forteresse stratégique depuis l'époque islamique. C'est l'une des plus grandes forteresses médiévales d'Espagne. Son origine remonte au IXe siècle, sous la domination Musulman.
La Plaza de España est l'un des principaux espaces ouverts d'Alicante, situé juste à côté du Marché Central. C'est un quartier très fréquenté, tant par son activité commerciale que par sa proximité avec les institutions culturelles et les quartiers traditionnels.
Dans cette même zone se trouve l'historique Arène d'Alicante, inaugurée en 1847 et l'une des plus anciennes de la Communauté Valencienne. Il a accueilli des spectacles de tauromachie, des concerts et des événements populaires. Bien que son usage ait évolué, il demeure un bâtiment de grande importance pour le patrimoine urbain.
C'est le point de départ des mascletàs pendant les Feux de la Saint-Jean. Des milliers de personnes se rassemblent ici chaque mois de juin pour célébrer le plus grand festival d'Alicante.
Au pied du château et à côté du centre historique, cette plage urbaine est l'une des plus connues de la Communauté valencienne. Son nom vient de l'ancienne porte à guillotine (porte secondaire) qui reliait la ville à la côte. Aujourd'hui est un endroit idéal pour se détendre après la visite, avec sa promenade, ses palmiers et ses eaux calmes.

Guide was good, nice friendly, saw some sights, only complaint is the tour on Viator said 1.5 hours and we were cut to 55 minutes. Seems they overbooked as they reached out early and tried to reschedule but we were in a cruise ship and could not.
Slightly disappointed. Firstly though, we couldn't fault the lady driver. Friendly, helpful and informative. Some very good historical titbits. However, it felt slightly underwhelming, perhaps because we are residents and knew a fair bit anyway. It covered the old town, new town, mushroom street, bullring, castle etc. Took 50 mins not 70 (maybe we didn't ask enough questions). The lady kindly altered our drop off point, which was appreciated. On the negatives, the tuktuk is not fantastically accessible if you have leg or knee issues. The tour commentary needed speakers really, rather than talking over road noise. And we didn't get our complementary water. Mixed review but on balance worth it for being something different.
Ride was nice but driver was too fast. Recommend to drive slower to appreciate the sites xxxxxxcxxxx

Too expensive for what it is, not worth it, very little explanation, the girl was nice but she hardly spoke Spanish, which was the option I chose when making the reservation... a brief tour of unimportant parts of Alicante, or at least that is how we felt due to the lack of explanation... the only thing I can highlight is passing by Zetas Street and knowing how to get to Santa Catalina Castle, which of course we went to afterward, because they only gave us 10 minutes and we could only reach the door where we asked... quality-price ratio 0.

Sinceramente, nos resulta difícil entender una valoración tan extrema cuando la mayor parte de sus críticas se refieren a expectativas que no forman parte del producto contratado. La ruta, la duración, las paradas y el carácter panorámico del tour están descritos con total claridad antes de reservar. Un recorrido en tuk tuk por Alicante no es una visita guiada de varias horas al Castillo de Santa Bárbara ni una excursión a pie por cada monumento de la ciudad. Pretender lo contrario es simplemente no haber leído la descripción de la actividad. 🖤🛺 También resulta sorprendente afirmar que hubo “nula explicación” mientras destaca varios lugares que descubrió durante el recorrido y que visitó posteriormente gracias a las indicaciones recibidas. Si realmente no hubiera existido explicación alguna, difícilmente habría obtenido esa información. Respecto al idioma, la guía realiza tours en español de forma habitual. Que su acento o forma de expresarse no haya sido de su agrado es una cuestión completamente distinta a afirmar que “casi no hablaba español”. Lamentamos que sus expectativas fueran diferentes a la experiencia contratada, pero el tour se realizó exactamente conforme a la descripción publicada y aceptada en el momento de la reserva. ☀️💨

The tour started off great . Dori our driver messaged me 10 minutes before expected time to explain where she was . The tour is really good , the tuk tuk was electric, so nice and quiet. She took us around the city and all the time pointing out interesting things with a commentary too . We even went up to the castle for 15 minutes which was good for photo opportunities. All in all a great way to see the city . Thanks Dori, you were fab .

Our driver was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and kept us on schedule throughout the trip. Dropped us at cruise port entrance so we didn’t have to fight traffic and bus ride.
