Il y a longtemps, Tudor Cardiff est entré dans l'histoire, avec presque tous ses bâtiments. Lors de cette visite guidée par GPS, vous regarderez au-delà des bâtiments modernes les indices qui racontent l'histoire de la célébrité et de la notoriété de la ville à l'époque de la puissante dynastie Tudor. Alors que vous vous frayez un chemin dans le centre-ville, je vais vous indiquer les deux seuls bâtiments Tudor restants et vous révéler la curieuse origine de certains noms de rues de Cardiff comme Womanby, Golate et Wharton Streets. Vous entendrez comment était la vie à Tudor Cardiff, y compris comment les régimes alimentaires quotidiens des riches et des pauvres étaient différents et comment l'alphabétisation signifiait qu'il y avait des lois différentes pour les différentes classes sociales. Et en vous rendant à Bute Park, où la visite se termine, vous passerez devant la tour saisissante de l’église paroissiale de St John The Baptist City, Gorsedd Stone Circle, et le spectaculaire château de Cardiff.

You take your time, spritely comments and lots of information. Very unique historical take; you could go back n forth and repeat as needed;
A beautiful, surprising and educating tour of a city I have visited and stayed in many times over the years. James captures your attention with the sounds and descriptions of Tudor life, from the rich to the poor. I could truly picture how different Cardiff is now to how it was then. Thank you a wonderful morning sent in Tudor Cardiff.

Great, easy listening experience. I did get a bit turned around in the Bute park area because I assumed we’d be walking along the pathways but if you walk over the grass, you should be fine.

I'd never heard of such audio tours but was looking for things to do in Cardiff whilst I had some free time, and this popped up. I took the plunge and it was so easy to follow. And so much fun! Alongside the narration there was often Tudor music and sound effects (what it would have sounded like in Tudor times, where I was stood) which made it even better as I felt immersed in the atmosphere and could then really take in the facts and descriptions. Walking through the park whilst the Friars were chanting was a beautiful moment, and I loved learning about some of the different parts of the castle & its links to Tudors. I think this may become a bit of an obsession - that evening I made a list of audio tours to do next - they're everywhere! I hope they're as good as this one 😁
