Chez Flavours Food Tours, nous expliquons non seulement l'histoire de la ville de Savannah, sa culture et son architecture, mais nous connectons cette histoire à la cuisine et aux libations emblématiques du Sud et du Lowcountry. Vous seriez surpris de tout ce que vous pouvez apprendre d’une bouchée de Shrimp N Grits et de tomates vertes frites ! Nos visites sont petites, personnelles et intimes. Un peu comme appeler un local sympathique et compétent pour vous faire visiter. Notre visite déjeuner est copieuse (assez pour un repas), visitant jusqu'à cinq lieux gastronomiques avec une boisson alcoolisée incluse dans le prix. Tous nos restaurants partenaires se distinguent comme d’excellents exemples d’aliments emblématiques du Sud. Créez une atmosphère avec nos beignets moelleux, nos célèbres crevettes et gruaux et notre soupe au crabe crémeuse et onctueuse. Terminez le tout avec un dessert classique à table. Lever et briller! Il est temps d'explorer Savannah et vous rencontrerez votre guide pour un café et des douceurs sucrées, chaudes et en poudre sous forme de beignets près de notre point de départ. Le True South Lunch Tour se réunit au bord de la rivière, sur la place Rousakis Riverfront (à proximité du restaurant Huey's). Recherchez votre guide souriant dans une chemise de couleur pêche GA et le logo Flavours Food Tours. Cette visite se concentre sur la CUISINE : déguster des plats originaires du Sud et de la Savane, apprendre l'histoire derrière ses origines et comprendre la culture et l'histoire de cette région. Nous marcherons environ 3 km à travers la partie nord historique de Savannah. Les aliments que nous essaierons comprennent le café, les beignets, les tomates vertes frites, les crevettes et le gruau et/ou d'autres plats principaux du Sud, la soupe au crabe, la tarte aux pacanes et plus encore ! Cette visite comprend un cocktail (ou un mocktail pour les non-buveurs), alors passez en mode vacances et ralentissez un peu... vous êtes dans le Sud maintenant !

A good tour guide that is knowlegible makes all the difference. The 3 hour tour went very well because we walked, sat , ate in comfortable environments (although the outdoor temperature was hot).

Every stop provided amazing food and portion sizes that left us genuinely full. Jessica was a wonderful guide and provided us with tons of local information and even more recs for future meals. We had a delightful time with Caeli. She made the whole tasty experience lots of fun. She was organized, entertaining and informed. She shared stories gently as they were pertinent. Us two ladies over 75 appreciated the stops to sit and rest in the shade. We loved learning about the impact of SCAD on Savannah downtown. My only wish is that we could have ended the tour closer to the starting point and our car….we were tired from the heat and the walk.

This was well worth our time and money. We had the chance to eat some local fare we may not have tried on our own. The food served wasn't small portions. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the food and history of Savannah. Do not hesitate to put this on your Savannah itinerary.

We really enjoyed our food tour in Savannah. Michael was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge about Savannah and the origins of the tasty items we sampled. Our group was a total of eight which we felt was a perfect size. We are very glad we took the morning tour as it gets a bit warm in the early afternoon.

Our guide Jessica was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every stop interesting with stories about Savannah’s culture and history. She is personable with the ability to engage the tour group and we felt like we made some new friends. The 5 locations with excellent food selections gave us a real taste of the city. We appreciated her making sure that different options for allergies were available. We especially loved the Southern specialties and learning about the restaurants and local traditions behind each dish. The walking pace was comfortable, and we enjoyed exploring areas we probably would have missed on our own. We would highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Savannah who wants a fun, delicious experience.

Great food tour! Jessica was friendly and took good care of us. The foods were delicious -- shrimp & grits, Beignets, fried green tomatoes, she-crab soup, cheese croquettes, and ice cream. We were with a nice group of people and enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend!
