Had an amazing time with my friend on this 2-day trip to Colca. This place is gorgeous and our guide was fantastic the whole time. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience.
This experience is truly unforgettable. The views, the animals, the hike, everything came together to create a truly wonderful experience in this beautiful part of Peru. I highly recommend it!
Great experience, the colca canyon offers a fantastic scenery. We saw some condors along the way, too. The hike is quite challenging, especially on the second day - it's going 1200 altitude meters up. Planning was good, everything was taken care of, for example the transport of our luggage and the transfer to Puno (we had to change busses). The included food was okay, but not great. Same for the accomodation: Oasis ecolodge was a little shabby. But for one night it was ok.
Touring Colca Canyon with my parents was an unforgettable experience. Angel, our Guide, was incredibly patient and made sure we were all comfortable during the hike. We descended on the first day and could observe vicuñas and alpacas in their natural habitat. The climb on the second day was more challenging, but the sense of achievement at the top and the panoramic views were absolutely rewarding. It was an adventure that brought us even closer together as a family.
The Colca Canyon tour was perfect for our family. Descending the first day with Lisbeth was relaxing and educational, as she showed us various interesting animals and plants along the way. The children were amazed to see alpacas and vicuñas up close. The climb on the second day was challenging, but the sight of reaching the top and the feeling of having made it together as a family made all the effort worthwhile. An experience we will always treasure!
The tour with Lisbeth was an enriching experience. On the first day, we easily descended the canyon, observing vicuñas in their natural habitat. The second day, the walk back was challenging, but with Lisbeth’s motivation and spectacular views, we made it to the top. It was an unforgettable adventure.
The tour was a great experience, perfectly organized and excellently led by our guide Carlos!!! It was a challenge for me, but I managed it with Carlos' help. Thank you very much for that! I can only recommend this trek! Stefanie (April 2024)
One of our reasons for doing this tour was to be able to walk a lot while enjoying beautiful landscapes. This 2-day tour met our expectations and we were able to walk several kilometers until we reached Sangalle, which was the place where we slept. On day 2 we didn't walk much, but it was challenging having to climb the canyon until we got back to Cabanaconde. The transfer to Puno made things much easier for us, because we did not have to return back to Arequipa to continue our trip in Peru.
In my opinion, the best part of visiting the Colca Canyon is being able to enjoy nature. My favorite part was being able to see the condors fly. Condors are the second largest flying birds in the world after the albatross.
This tour is quite convenient if you want to visit Colca and then head to Puno. The transfer to Puno is done in a different vehicle, since most people return to Arequipa.
