Our guide was so nice and gave a great narrative. We liked that he explained the history and provided context.
Thank you for your kind review! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour and appreciated your guide's engaging narration and historical insights. Providing context and bringing each destination to life is something we truly value. We hope to welcome you back on another of our small-group tours from Dubrovnik!
Our guide Gabriel gave our family of 3 (2 adults, 1 20 yo) a spectacular tour. We loved learning about the sites and he took us along local roads as we explored. At the end of the tour we visited a small family run vineyard with delicious wines, locally prepared meats and cheeses curated by a kind host. Gabriel did all the translation. We had the most enjoyable afternoon! We highly recommend this tour and wish we had more time for Gabriel to take us on another one. Many thanks for a perfect afternoon.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that your family had such a memorable experience with Gabriel. His passion for sharing local history and hidden gems really shines through, and we're glad you enjoyed the scenic routes and the visit to the family-run vineyard—it’s truly a special spot. We’ll be sure to pass along your compliments to Gabriel. We’d love to welcome you back for another tour in the future. Until then, thank you again for choosing us!
Gabriel was our driver today, and he is FANTASTIC. We have lived in Europe for several years, and been on a lot of tours. This was one of the most unique, personal experiences ever. Private car (Mercedes sedan), one on one, history lessons of his home country, personal details, etc. And the wine tasting!!! This winery is literally in a family home. They served us personally! Their own wines, their own olives, their own cured meats, and cheeses! Everything about it was perfect!
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear Gabriel made your day so memorable and that you enjoyed such an authentic and personal experience — from in-depth stories about our country to tasting wine, olives, and delicacies made right in a local family’s home. This is exactly what we aim to offer: a true taste of the region, beyond the usual tourist path. We’re so glad it felt unique and special for you. We also offer several other small-group and half-day tours designed to bring our guests deeper into local culture and history, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back to experience more!
Booked this on the spur of the moment. Had a great pick-up time of 2pm on 23rd July from the hotel and was surprised to have a private tour. Guide was absolutely amazing, friendly and knowledgable. First stop was the monastery and then onto the wine tasting at a small family vineyard. Overall a superb experience and would thoroughly recommend both Amico and the tour.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're glad you enjoyed the spontaneity of the tour and had such a great experience with our guide. It’s fantastic to hear that the visit to the monastery and the family-run vineyard made such a positive impression. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another tour with Amico!
First of all Gabrielle was a fantastic host, driver, tour guide. Fun, knowledgeable and perfect for his job, thank you. The monk monastery was really pretty and a good stop. Trebneje is a waste of time. There's nothing to see. Old town isn't very old looking and took 20 minutes to look at, the surrounding areas have 2 churches..... and a small park. There really is nothing there and the info centre never took cards or euros so you can't even buy a souvenir. The second family run winery was pretty too but the host really had no interest in us being there. Choose another one.
Our tour was absolutely perfect!! We had such a fun day and everything couldn’t have been better! Gabriel was an amazing guide and we had the best day!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had such a perfect day and that Gabriel made the experience so enjoyable. We’ll be sure to pass along your lovely feedback to him—hope to see you again on another adventure soon!
We went into the Amico office in Dubrovnik wanting to do a number of trips which in Dubrovnik for 10 days. We like a glass of wine so we’re keen to do some wine tasting. After some discussions, we booked for the half day trip to Trebinje and Tvrdos Monastery but the Amico team were able to tailor the trip and add an extra local winery stop which is not normally part of the tour - the office team are really flexible to your needs. A passionate local guide told us all about the history of his town of Trebinje before we joined him for a chat at his local cafe - really got a feel for local life and the passion he has for his towns history. We then headed onto the Monastery which was beautiful with a tradition of wine making dating back centuries. We sampled some of their wines and visited the ancient wine cellars - delicious wines and a beautiful location. We then went onto the added Berak local winery in Trebinje and was wonderful to be welcomed by the family to their home where the wine was made in the traditional way. The family provided bread, meat and cheese to accompany the generous wine samples and our Amico driver translated and asked questions - was a fabulous experience. Really recommend the trip and Amico Tours, thank you for another great trip

Great trip and learned a lot. Easy and fun tour with a great guide. Trebinje was beautiful to visit.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had a great time and enjoyed learning along the way. Trebinje is truly a beautiful place, and we're glad you had the opportunity to experience it with us. We'll be sure to pass your compliments along to your guide. We hope to welcome you on another adventure soon!
Really good trip with a knowledgeable guide. He knew the history of the region really well. Navigated the border easily and then a short drive to the monastery for wine tasting and viewing the property. Time in Trebinje was also really good with a local guide who also knew his history. Ended with a drive up to the overlook over old town. Worth the time to see something different.
Thank you for your great review! We're so glad you enjoyed the day, the insight from both guides, and the chance to explore Trebinje and the monastery. It's a special area with so much charm and history. Hope to see you again soon!
My daughter and I decided to book this tour to get outside of Dubrovnik after several days of rain. The day we went was sunny and felt like spring! Gabrijel met us with a luxury sedan and we traveled in style across the border to Bosnia, while he told us about the surrounding areas, its history, language and culture and answered our many questions. The stop at the Tvrdos Monastery was magical. We toured the grounds and tasted four delicious wines hosted by Miroslav. Then we drove on to Trebinje where we were met by Markos who led us around the old town and other parts of the city and told us all about the history of the region. We visited an Orthodox Church before heading back to Dubrovnik. Gabrijel then drove us to the top of the hill overlooking Dubrovnik where we took in the breathtaking view of the city, old town and the Adriatic. He then delivered us nearly to our door. All in all, a wonderful day. We are so glad we did it and would heartily recommend Gabrijel's and his company to any future visitors to this beautiful part of the world.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that you and your daughter had such a memorable day exploring the region with Gabrijel. It's fantastic that the sunny weather gave you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the stunning landscapes and historical sites, and that you could taste some of the finest wines at Tvrdos Monastery. If you're looking for more unique adventures, we have a variety of other tours and experiences that could be a perfect addition to your Dubrovnik visit. Thank you again for your kind words, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for your next adventure! Safe travels!
