Cours de cuisine grecque traditionnelle et déjeuner bio à Poros

Description

Wonderful experience! I would very much recommend this. The family were so lovely. And we cooked some very delicious food!
We had a wonderful welcome with lemonade before starting our cooking class. We had lots of fun preparing the organic produce, before a cocktail was made for us and we had a break. Afterwards we made cheese pies and orange custard ones too with filo. Katerina was so welcoming and lovely and we were extremely well looked after. The kitchen space is perfect for the class and the bistro super cute and comfortable. We then sat at our table and enjoyed our meal, with wine. Lots left over, which will not go to waste. It's been a highlight of our holiday and I look forward to cooking these dishes again in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful time - all the food we ate was delicious!
Thank you so much for your review! we had a great time also! Kind regards,
Hands down one of the best activities we have done in Greece was this Greek cooking 🥘 class. It exceeded my imagination -from picking the herbs 🌿 in the garden the aromas of simmering sauces and fresh cut produce 🍅 and many tasting spoons 🥄 . We yielded about nine dishes from appetizers, salads, entrées, and cocktails. Our multi-aged cohort of seven "chefs" were from Austria the Netherlands and Sweden in the USA We ended experience dining alfresco on what we cooked. Conversation, laughs and wine embellished the whole experience
We were so happy to read such a lovely review and we are delighted that you had such a wonderful time. Thank you! Kind regards
We had a brilliant time with Caterina learning how to make some delicious Greek recipes from all locally sourced and farm ingredients. Caterina made it such fun for all the family, and we had an experience we will never forget. A true highlight of our Greek holiday. We will definitely be back!
Thank you very much for your beautiful words. It is a great pleasure to know that people are having such a good time!
Amazing evening. Learnt so many little tips, made some really special recipes, and really enjoyed the company of the team.
Dear Sara, thank you so much for your feedback. I am happy you enjoyed the workshop and wish you happy cooking when you're back at home.
Can’t recommend Odyssey’s farm cookery course enough. Katerina was a wonderful teacher and host, and taught so many dishes - cooked calamari for the first time, zucchini flowers stuffed with feta and spinach, Greek meatballs and gorgeous roast beetroot and pepper were just a few of my favourites. Katerina made our fellow cook’s 45th wedding anniversary a special occasion by making a delicious Greek berry pie with us to help them celebrate, and allowed my reluctant chef husband to have a refreshing swim in the pool while we enjoyed learning about locally grown and produced Greek ingredients and cuisine. Thankyou so much Katerina.. today has been one of the highlights of our Greek island tour! 😀
Yeah, we had a great time on our farm. It was soo nice cooking with you both and the couple that had their weeding anniversary. Thank you for your kind words and let me know how it goes when you cook some of the recipes at home!
I spent a few days in Poros on my own and came across this activity when researching how to spend my time. Curiosity got the better of me, and I’m so glad it did! I was a little nervous about joining solo, but I was greeted with such warmth and kindness by both the other participants and the wonderful Odyssey team. Our host, Katerina, walked us through SEVEN (!!) traditional Greek dishes, which she had learned from her mother. Everything was made vegetarian, so it’s perfect for anyone who prefers not to have meat or fish. The dishes ranged from preparing dough for cakes, bread, and pastry-like dishes to stuffing vegetables. It was so fun to get hands-on and learn more about Greek cuisine and how different ingredient groups (like herbs and vegetables) feature in everyday meals. One thing I especially loved was the emphasis on sustainability and minimizing waste. Most of the food, even the olive oil (!), is grown and made by the Odyssey team. They also experiment with recipes to make the most of each ingredient and reduce waste. I find inspiring as it’s clearly a fundamental value of their business and so important at this time. And of course — the food was absolutely delicious! I’m sure that was partly due to our group’s incredible talents (sarcasm here :Dd) — but mostly thanks to the passionate, fun, and thorough way everything was taught. We had great tools, and the guidance was kind and supportive the whole way through. In total, the experience took about five hours. And they flew by. It’s hard to even call it a class, because despite starting as strangers, everyone felt so warm and friendly, more like a group of friends cooking together. I genuinely have nothing negative to say about this experience. If you’re visiting Poros and looking for something special to do, you must visit Odyssey for this incredible cooking class. Thank you!!
I don't know what to say, thank you for your extensive and warm feedback! We had a great time together, I was afraid a bit that I exhausted you maybe, but reading your review, I don't even think that you noticed that time was flying and you were actually cooking for quite a while. All the best when you are preparing one or more of the recipes back at home. Let me know how it goes,
An excellent experience and could not reccomend more. Amazing food, friendly staff and a gorgeous place.
Dear Clair, thank you for your sharing your experience with us. It was a pleasure to meet you, and to cook together
I absolutely loved this cooking class. I am a terrible cook, and now have the knowledge to make my friends and family a three course Greek meal.
Hey Daniëlle. You are NOT a terrible cook (anymore). I loved cooking with you and I am sure you'll surprise friends and family with your new skills!!
The emphasis was on the preparation (and eating) rather than the cooking, which was done by our wonderful guide's staff. A good learning experience too. All the ingredients were really fresh and (apart from the onions and alcohol) came from their own farm. The final part where we ate our own handy work was also a great experience which included unlimited local wine.
Hi dear Kevin. Thanks and yes you are right we're trying to use as much ingredients from our own vegetable garden for the workshop. You know, next to the preparation and the cooking, I would say that eating (sharing the food with all on the table) is also an important part of the overall experience. Thank you for cooking with me.
