What a truly exceptional and memorable experience this was. Siddartha was so wonderful and taught us so much about shamanism. We left this experience feeling like we have gained so much that will stick with us for life! Thank you Siddartha :)
I booked this tour out of curiosity and to also understand Nepalis belief in Shamanism. My guide Sidhartha explained to me so many things before seeing the Shaman which was very insightful and gave me a clearer understanding on what to expect. I do believe that this experience for those who are open minded enough and respect Shamanic ways. It was a very unique experience and I'm glad I booked this.
I toured with HikeFree Nepal out of Kathmandu. It was a grand adventure. Our guide, Ganesh Kanal was brilliant. Very attentive. Extremely resourceful and informed. It was a joyous time. He took us to beautiful tea houses - great meals. Seeing the Himalayan mountains up close a thrill of a lifetime. I’d do it again!
An interesting and authentic experience accompanied by the very kind and knowledgeable guide Siddhartha.
My guide was awesome and was also the translator. Although on my own I felt safe and looked after. The shaman was amazing and had some excellent insights. I came away feeling good. I would definitely recommend this tour. Namaste 🙏 Diana
I have always been interested in alternative medicine and healers since I was a little girl. Krishna was an excellent guide. He explained what the Shaman would do and what it was. I was able to have my own consultation and he explained everything to me and what the Shaman said and explained the ceremony. During the ceremony I could feel the vibrations and energy moving up and throughout my body. I was definitely a lot more relaxed afterwards. I was also able to witness locals visit with Shaman as well and their ceremonies. Each ceremony was different. Krishna was very thorough, friendly, and welcoming! He even took photos and video of the ceremony for me. I couldn’t ask for a better guide.
Beautiful experience with a local Shaman. The guide is very helpful at answering questions, translating and making you feel at ease
Everything was explained clearly before seeing the Shaman. The history behind all forms of Shamanism and the difference between traditional Tibetan style. I was very relaxed and open minded. The Shaman was Nisha and I felt really at ease. I would recommend doing this if you are open in your heart and mind.
This is a unique opportunity for the person who is open to traditional authentic Tibetan shaman consultation and healing to actually experience a shaman interacting with the community. I visited Pushpa at the beginning of my visit to Nepal and again at the end of my visit. The first time was the mid afternoon and I was the only one there. On my last visit in the early morning many people had come to partake of her services. Siddhartha is a wonderful knowledgeable translator of the shaman's healing session with you as well as an excellent teacher of exactly what Tibetan shamanism is. It was very helpful to understand the basics of shamanism before experiencing the very powerful energy of the session with her. This is not for the skeptics but it is for the curious who are open to many ways of engaging in healing energy. I highly recommend the experience with the shaman as well as the confidence conveyed by the translator, Siddhartha. If and when I return to Nepal, I will surely return to this very special healing place.
If you feel ready for something 100% real, far away from any touristy or fake spiritual traps, this is absolutely the right place. This is not a “tour” in the conventional sense, but a genuine immersion into Nepali shamanic tradition. Siddhartha is an incredibly knowledgeable, grounded and professional guide. He holds a degree in anthropology with a strong specialization in Tibetan and Nepali shamanism, and this makes a huge difference: he is able to explain what is happening with clarity, respect and cultural depth, without ever diluting or sensationalizing the experience. The shamanic ritual itself was intense, profound and deeply moving. The shaman worked with great presence, strength and integrity — you can feel immediately that this is not something staged for visitors, but a real practice that belongs to everyday spiritual life here. We felt guided, protected and respected throughout the entire experience. That said, this experience is not for everyone. It requires openness, humility and a genuine interest in understanding a different spiritual worldview. If you are looking for entertainment or something “easy,” this is probably not for you. But if you are truly curious, respectful, and ready to step outside your comfort zone, it can be transformative. We are deeply grateful for this encounter and would recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic, honest and meaningful experience in Nepal.
